Ready for What’s Next: Celebrating the Class of 2026

Today marks a significant milestone for our wonderful Year 13 students - not only the start of study leave, but the conclusion of their journey at Radnor House Sevenoaks. This moment represents a transition from school life to a future filled with independence, opportunity and excitement, as our students prepare to take their next steps beyond school.

And what a future lies ahead. From outstanding university and apprenticeship offers to adventurous gap year plans and exciting employment opportunities, our Year 13 students have much to look forward to. Before they head off to embrace what comes next, the school has taken time this week to celebrate everything they have achieved, and the lasting contribution they have made to the Radnor community.

Leavers’ celebrations began with the much‑anticipated Staff vs Sixth Form Rounders match, a spirited and good‑natured contest that showcased both competitiveness and camaraderie. With dramatic dives, loud cheering and plenty of laughter, the afternoon provided a fittingly energetic start to the celebrations.

Students and staff came together during break time to share celebration cake and shirt‑signing, taking time to exchange messages of gratitude, encouragement and fond memories. It was a poignant reminder of the friendships and supportive relationships formed during their time in Sixth Form.

A Leavers’ Assembly provided a heartfelt opportunity for reflection. Students enjoyed a touching video featuring messages from staff, alongside a nostalgic photo slideshow capturing their journey from their early days in the Prep School, joining in Year 7, through to the present. It was a powerful moment to pause and recognise how far they have come - both academically and personally.

Students relaxed in black‑tie elegance for their Leavers’ Dinner, coming together for a final formal event as a year group. The evening included a three‑course meal, student awards, speeches, music, a photo booth and professional photography, creating a memorable celebration of their time at Radnor House Sevenoaks.

The week concluded on Friday with one final Sixth Form tradition - a full‑clothed jump into the school pool. Laughter, cheering and soaked smiles marked a joyful and symbolic ending to their time at school, rounding off the celebrations in true Radnor style.

To our Year 13 students: thank you for the laughter, leadership and legacy you leave behind. We are immensely proud of all you have achieved and wish you every success as you move forward. Do stay in touch - you will always be part of the Radnor House Sevenoaks family.

David Paton Head reflected:

“After two demanding and transformative years, our Upper Sixth leavers stand on the threshold of adulthood with so much ahead of them. I have every confidence that you will achieve the results you are aiming for this summer. When the exams are over, take a moment to reflect on just how much you have accomplished. Well done to each of you, and please do stay in touch through our Alumni Network on LinkedIn.”

Patricia Read, Head of Sixth Form said:

“Year 13 have brought such energy, kindness and character to Sixth Form life. They leave behind wonderful memories, strong friendships and a real sense of who they are. We will miss them greatly, but we know they are more than ready for what comes next.”
