Radnor Young Enterprise Team Wins Big at Kent Competition

Our Young Enterprise team celebrated a fantastic achievement at the recent Kent Young Enterprise Company of the Year Competition, held at Bethany School, securing a Top 3 Award alongside first place in the Sustainability Award

The Sustainability Award recognises a business and product that demonstrates a strong commitment to one of Young Enterprise’s core aims — creating innovative, responsible solutions with a positive impact. This is a wonderful testament to the team’s creativity, collaboration and forward-thinking approach.

The competition brought together over 18 school teams from across Kent, each submitting a formal Company Report before taking part in a demanding and immersive assessment process. Students faced a series of challenges, including:

  • Informal discussions with judges
  • A formal interview, including detailed financial scrutiny
  • A final presentation pitch to both judges and fellow competitors

Representing Radnor House at the awards evening were Ava and Isaac (Year 12). Emily and James (Year 11) and Charlotte and Hanna (Year 10), who demonstrated exceptional teamwork, confidence and professionalism throughout the event. By working collaboratively, they developed a successful product and company, while strengthening their skills in leadership, communication, entrepreneurship and problem-solving

Their success is a reflection not only of their hard work and commitment, but also of the strong culture of enterprise and innovation within the school.

Looking ahead, the Year 10 students will continue to run the company, exploring new product ideas in preparation for next year’s competition. We are excited to see how their business evolves and grows.

We would also warmly welcome support from any parents who may be able to assist the team with production, marketing, sales or finance during Thursday lunchtime sessions.

Congratulations to all involved on this outstanding achievement!
