ISA London South Athletics: Medal Success for Radnor House Prep
It was a day of high energy, fierce competition, and unforgettable moments as 30 Radnor House Sevenoaks Prep pupils from Years 4 - 6 took to the track and field at the ISA London South Athletics Championships. Competing against 18 other schools, our young athletes embraced the challenge with energy, determination and wonderful moments of team spirit.
From the moment they arrived, our pupils threw themselves into their events with enthusiasm. The day was packed with moments of perseverance and excellence – as well as countless displays of natural sportsmanship that made us incredibly proud.
A huge congratulations goes to our medal winners:
Harry W – Bronze, Shot Putt
Camilla B – Silver, High Jump
Hettie M – Silver, Vortex Throw
Jaxon M – Gold, High Jump and Bronze, 800m
We are particularly thrilled for Jaxon, who has qualified for the ISA National Finals in Birmingham on 16th June in the High Jump – an incredible achievement. Additionally, Camilla and Hettie, who each secured silver medals, are currently on the reserve list and may well be called up to join the large squad of senior students who will be attending the event too.
Mrs Blackman, Head of Prep PE, commented “It was wonderful to see our Prep pupils rise to the challenge of such a large-scale event. For many of our younger athletes, it was their first taste of competitive athletics - and they embraced it with confidence and enthusiasm. I’m incredibly proud of their achievements, which perfectly complements the recent successes of our senior athletes in the same competition.”
Radnor House is looking ahead with excitement to the upcoming IPS Athletics event, followed by the national finals for both ISA and IPS. There’s plenty more to come, and we can’t wait to see what our talented young athletes will achieve next.
