Radnor House Sevenoaks Shortlisted for Independent School of the Year Awards for Careers

We are delighted to announce that Radnor House Sevenoaks has been shortlisted in the Independent School Careers category at the prestigious Independent School of the Year Awards 2026.

The national awards celebrate excellence across the independent education sector, recognising schools that are making a significant impact in the lives of their pupils. Being shortlisted is a wonderful recognition of Radnor's commitment to preparing young people not only for academic success, but for life beyond school.

Preparing pupils for life beyond school is woven into every stage of a Radnor education, from Nursery through to Sixth Form. By developing confidence, character and transferable skills alongside academic excellence, we help every pupil discover their strengths and prepare for the opportunities ahead.

This national recognition celebrates the strength of our whole-school approach, which culminates in a comprehensive careers and futures programme that helps students make informed decisions and take confident next steps.

Through a carefully considered programme of guidance, real-world experiences and meaningful employer engagement, students are encouraged to explore a wide range of pathways while developing the personal qualities that will enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Miss Brice, Head of Careers, said "We are incredibly proud to be recognised on a national stage. Our careers programme is about much more than helping students choose their next destination; it's about giving every young person the confidence, curiosity and skills to shape a future that is right for them. This recognition reflects the enthusiasm of our students and the commitment of colleagues across the whole school, alongside the invaluable support of our parents, alumni and employer partners."

The winners of the Independent School of the Year Awards will be announced later this year. We are immensely proud that Radnor House Sevenoaks has been recognised among the country's leading independent schools for careers education, and we would like to thank everyone who plays a part in making our programme such a success - our wider school community and valued external partners. Together, they help ensure our young people are equipped with the knowledge, confidence and experiences to take their next steps with ambition and purpose.

David Paton, Head summarised "Preparing pupils for life beyond school lies at the heart of our educational philosophy. Academic achievement will always be important, but equally important is ensuring young people leave Radnor equipped with the confidence, character and adaptability to flourish in a rapidly changing world. We are delighted that this whole-school commitment has been recognised and congratulate everyone who has contributed to this achievement."
