Introducing Radnor House Sevenoaks’ new Head Student Team

We’re delighted to announce our new Head Student Team at Radnor House Sevenoaks. Representing the student body across the Senior School and Sixth Form, the team will champion pupil voice, strengthen our community culture and help drive positive change throughout the year.

Ava - Head Girl
"Championing community, inclusion and pupil voice"

Ava has been part of the Radnor House community since Nursery, joining the school at just two and a half years old. Now Head Girl, she sees the role as both a significant responsibility and a positive opportunity to connect with pupils across the school, support others and help Radnor House continue to grow. Inspired by previous Head Students, Ava has long aspired to the role and is motivated by a genuine desire to give back to the community that has shaped her from the very beginning.

Approachability is at the heart of Ava’s leadership. She believes that student leaders must be visible, involved and willing to listen if they are to truly represent their peers. One of her key priorities is strengthening the transition from Year 6 to Year 7, drawing on her own memories of how daunting that step can feel. Alongside this, she is keen to keep pupil voice central by visiting forms regularly and encouraging open dialogue. Ava is studying Geography, Economics and Maths at A Level, and outside of school she enjoys netball, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family. Music is a daily constant in her life and a source of relaxation.

Kian - Head Boy
"Focusing on confidence, integrity and an even stronger student voice"

Kian joined Radnor House in Year 7 and describes becoming Head Boy as a real honour. For him, the role represents trust, responsibility and a chance to give back to a school community that has supported him throughout his senior years. He was particularly drawn to the opportunity to represent students authentically and to help ensure their ideas and concerns lead to meaningful outcomes.

Kian believes confidence, approachability and integrity are essential qualities for effective student leadership. He places strong value on doing the right thing in everyday interactions and being mindful of how student leaders engage with the wider community. One of his main aims is to review and strengthen the way Student Council operates, making it as effective and accessible as possible. He is also keen to broaden sporting opportunities during Games lessons, encouraging students to try new activities and build confidence beyond their comfort zones. Kian is studying English Literature, History and Geography at A Level alongside an EPQ. Outside the classroom, he has a passion for film analysis and review writing, alongside a love of sport, music and public speaking through oracy activities.

Eloise - Deputy Head Student
"Building connection across year groups and strengthening communication"

Eloise joined Radnor House in Year 7 and brings a strong focus on communication and connection to her role as Deputy Head Student. She sees the position as an opportunity to listen carefully to students across all year groups and act as a bridge between pupils and staff, helping to turn ideas and concerns into positive change. Knowing a wide range of students throughout the school gave her confidence that she could represent pupil voice effectively.

For Eloise, strong student leadership is rooted in teamwork, listening and confident but collaborative leadership. She is particularly keen to break down year-group “bubbles” and help students feel part of a more unified school community. Linked closely with Year 8, she aims to ensure younger pupils know exactly who they can approach and feel comfortable speaking up. Outside of school, Eloise enjoys a busy mix of sport, hockey, musical theatre and CrossFit, which she values both for physical fitness and mental wellbeing. (A Level subjects to be added once confirmed.)

Josie - Deputy Head Student
"Passionate about mentoring and supporting younger students"

Josie joined Radnor House in Year 7 and brings a strong mentoring focus to her role as Deputy Head Student. She is particularly passionate about helping students support one another, whether through older pupils guiding younger ones or peers working together during exam periods and assessment times. For Josie, the role is about strengthening interaction and collaboration across the whole school.

She believes effective student leadership depends on teamwork, confidence and clear communication, with a strong emphasis on working together to make change happen. One of her key initiatives is to develop more Sixth Form–led academic support, including subject-specific drop-in sessions for Year 10 and Year 11 students. Linked with Year 6, Josie is also keen to help pupils feel confident and excited about the transition into Senior School. She is studying English Literature, History and Psychology at A Level. Outside of school, Josie enjoys horse riding and volunteering with a disabled riders programme, an experience she finds particularly rewarding, as well as spending time with friends and listening to music.

Isaac - Deputy Head Student
"Strengthening communication and creating smaller, more confident ways for students to be heard"

Isaac joined Radnor House in Year 7, with his early years at Senior School shaped by the disruption of COVID. As a result, he is particularly motivated to strengthen communication and connection across the school, ensuring students feel supported and listened to. For Isaac, being a Deputy Head Student is about making a genuine difference rather than holding a title.

Approachability is the quality he values most in student leadership. He believes students are far more likely to share their views if leaders feel open, friendly and easy to talk to. One of his key ideas is to introduce smaller focus-group discussions alongside Student Council, creating less intimidating spaces where students can share more detailed feedback. Linked with Year 11, Isaac is keen to support students through the exam process, including opportunities to hear advice from Sixth Formers who have recently been through it themselves. He is studying Maths, Business and Computer Science at A Level. Outside of school, golf plays a major role in his life — he works at a driving range, practises regularly and values the resilience and mental focus the sport develops.

Theo - Deputy Head Student
"Supporting student wellbeing, practical life skills and a smooth prep-to-senior transition"

Theo joined Radnor House in Year 5, giving him experience of both Prep and Senior School life. This perspective strongly informs his work as a Deputy Head Student, particularly when supporting younger pupils as they transition into Year 7. He sees his role as an opportunity to give back to the community and contribute positively to the school’s continued development.

Respect underpins Theo’s approach to leadership — listening carefully, valuing others’ ideas and treating people well. He is especially interested in developing practical initiatives for Sixth Form students, including guidance around everyday life skills such as cooking and preparing for independent living at university. Theo is also keen to create more informal opportunities for younger students to interact with Sixth Formers, helping to build confidence and approachability across year groups. He is studying English Literature, Business and PE at A Level. Outside of school, Theo enjoys going to the gym, playing and watching rugby, and listening to a wide range of music.

The Head Student Team will be visible around school, working closely with year groups, Student Council and staff to ensure pupil voice remains central to school life. We look forward to sharing updates on their initiatives as the year unfolds, and to seeing the positive impact of their leadership across our community.
