Our Annual Enchanting Harry Potter Book Night
On a magical evening, the senior school at Radnor House Sevenoaks was transformed into the wizarding world of Hogwarts as pupils from across the prep and senior schools gathered for a Harry Potter Book event. The night was a spellbinding celebration of the beloved series, filled with fun, creativity and plenty of magic.
The evening began with a feast fit for witches and wizards, accompanied by a Sorting Hat ceremony. Mr. Allberry brought the Sorting Hat to life, enchanting everyone with a lively rendition of the hat’s iconic song as pupils were sorted into their houses.
The magic continued under the soft glow of candlelight in the Senior Library, where older pupils hosted a variety of activities inspired by the theme of Magical Creatures. Young wizards and witches had the opportunity to unleash their creativity and imagination through interactive games and crafts, including:
• Magical Menagerie Pictionary, where pupils showcased their artistic skills.
• A Niffler Treasure Hunt, challenging participants to find hidden treasures.
• Crafting their very own owl in The Owlery.
• De-gnoming the Weasleys’ Garden, a nod to the whimsical tasks of the wizarding world.
• Embarking on a Spider Hunt in the Forbidden Forest, perfect for adventurous souls.
• Playing Pin the Wings on the Pixie, blending fun with a touch of chaos.
The event was a resounding success, with smiles, laughter and a palpable sense of wonder filling the air. It was a magical evening that highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of both pupils and staff, celebrating the joy of reading and the enchanting world of Harry Potter.
