Good Luck Year 11!
This week, we wish our wonderful Year 11 students good luck as they head off on study leave to prepare for their upcoming GCSEs. To celebrate the end of an important chapter, Radnor House hosted a series of special events to mark the occasion and send our students off with support, encouragement, and a few unforgettable memories.
The celebrations began on Wednesday evening with a formal dinner, where students and staff arrived dressed to impress. It was a fantastic evening of laughter, reflection, and celebration — the perfect way to begin the Year 11 send-off in style. The following morning, the celebrations continued with a cooked breakfast and continental brunch, bringing everyone together for a relaxed and joyful gathering. Students received their commemorative hoodies and took part in the much-loved tradition of signing each other’s shirts — with staff eagerly joining in on the fun!
On Friday afternoon, a heartfelt special assembly brought the week to a close. Staff shared well-wishes and thoughtful speeches, and students were given a good luck video. Afterwards, the whole year group took to the lawn for a game of rounders, ending the day with lots of fun and laughter.
We are incredibly proud of everything Year 11 has achieved so far and wish every student the very best in the weeks ahead. We can’t wait to welcome them back on Results Day and celebrate the next chapter of their journey!
“Best of luck to you all as you take on your GCSE exams and move forward into the next exciting chapter of your lives. It has been a genuine privilege to teach so many of you over the years, and an absolute pleasure to serve as 11C’s form tutor this year. I have every confidence that each of you has the potential to go on and achieve remarkable things in the years to come. To my form especially, I'll truly miss our competitive Friday Kahoot quizzes. Keep that energy, curiosity, and determination wherever life takes you!” - Mr Charles, Form Tutor
“It has been great to be your form tutor this year. I taught most of you when you joined in Year 7 and it’s been amazing to see how you have grown and changed over the time. Good luck in the upcoming exams. Remember that there is always the Friday song!” - Mr Scott, Form Tutor
‘I have enjoyed getting to know members of 11M over the course of this year and will miss the conversations I’ve had with students about their weekend adventures in swimming and climbing! What has struck me most about this year group is how supportive they are of each other, and how willing they are to help each other to overcome problems – they are always happy to help others with revision. Finally, the most important advice - get enough sleep before your exams! Don't stay up late revising the night before! Good luck to everyone.” - Ms Morgan, Form Tutor
“Best wishes to all of Year 11 in your exams! All your hard work and dedication to your studies will be recognised. Success will be the result of your efforts, perseverance and determination. Try not to stress and do your best! Good luck!” - Miss Frizoni, Form Tutor
“Good Luck to you all. There have been some very memorable moments over the years, which have brought tears and laughter. I have seen you mature and grow into young adults and the commitment and dedication you have put into your studies. It has been a privilege. Hoping you all get the grades to enable you to make those steps in life.” - Mrs Hay, Head of Middle School
"As you approach your GCSE exams, I want to wish you all the best of luck. You've worked incredibly hard to reach this point, and I am confident that your efforts will pay off. Remember to stay calm, focused, and believe in yourselves. You can achieve great things, and I know you will do your best. Good luck!” - Mr Paton, Head
