Old Radnorians Gather for First Alumni Social in London
The Old Radnorians Association - founded in September 2025 - hosted its very first alumni event, welcoming former Sixth Form students back together in the heart of London.
Held at The George Inn, Southwark, a National Trust, Dickensian landmark and London’s only remaining galleried coaching inn, the evening brought together around 40 Old Radnorians who attended Radnor House Sevenoaks Sixth Form over the past decade. It was a wonderful occasion of reconnection, conversation and shared memories - and an exciting first step for a growing alumni community.
Hosted by Mrs Pettitt, Mr Leddington, Mrs Southgate and Mr Paton, the event was a chance to catch up with familiar faces and hear what former pupils have been doing since leaving Radnor. Alumni travelled from across the UK - and beyond - representing a wide range of pathways and professions. Despite their different journeys, one theme rang true throughout the evening: a strong sense of gratitude for their time at Radnor, and the friendships and experiences that shaped it.
What was particularly striking was how many friendships forged at school have remained close, even years later. The evening also created opportunities for new connections, as alumni met fellow Old Radnorians from different year groups - strengthening the sense that this association can become both a valued social network and a meaningful professional community.
Although still in its early stages, the Old Radnorians Association already shows huge promise. With the enthusiasm and energy of this fantastic group of young people, it is set to grow into an enriching network where former pupils can stay in touch, support one another, and share opportunities, experiences and advice as they move through university, careers and beyond.
