Radnor House Sevenoaks Awarded Significant Strength in ISI Inspection
Radnor House Sevenoaks is proud to share the outcome of its Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, which took place in November 2025.
The inspection confirmed that the school meets all required standards across every area, including leadership and management, quality of education, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding. This outcome provides clear reassurance about the quality of education and care offered from Early Years through to Sixth Form.
In addition, inspectors identified a significant strength - a distinction awarded only where an aspect of a school’s provision is judged to have a clear, demonstrable and highly beneficial impact on pupils. Under the current ISI framework, only around 12–15% of schools nationally receive a significant strength. Radnor House Sevenoaks is also the only school in Kent to be recognised specifically for pupil voice.
Inspectors highlighted the way in which pupils’ voices are embedded meaningfully across school life, noting that pupils’ views are listened to carefully and lead directly to real and tangible improvements. They concluded that this approach “substantially develops pupils’ confidence, self-esteem and their sense of responsibility towards others.”
The report also recognises a range of other strengths across the school, including:
- A clear and ambitious educational vision embedded from Early Years through to Sixth Form
- Teaching that provides appropriate challenge and responds to pupils’ individual needs
- A curriculum that fosters independent learning and intellectual curiosity
- High-quality assessment and feedback supporting strong academic progress
- A diverse and well-attended co-curricular programme
- A secure and supportive culture of pastoral care and safeguarding
Reflecting on the outcome, Head David Paton commented:
“We are very pleased with the outcome of this inspection. The identification of a significant strength, particularly in the area of pupil voice, reflects something that matters deeply to us. Our motto, celebrating every individual, is not just something we say - it shapes how we listen to pupils and how they experience life at the school.”
To support parents and the wider community, the school has produced a short ISI Inspection Highlights Report, alongside the full ISI inspection report, both of which are available to view on the website.
