Students Reach New Heights in Big Climb Event

This year's Big Climb Event was so impressive it was divided into two challenges: the older group summited Ben Nevis in October, followed by the younger pupils who accomplished the same challenge in April with equal determination and spirit.

Despite the western Highlands in Scotland not being famous for sunny weather, the 60-member expedition group of students and parents, successfully reached the summit of Ben Nevis and returned to base completely dry, creating some unforgettable memories during the epic adventure.

This annual Radnor tradition is evolving into a cherished institution and a rite of passage for many students in both the Prep and Senior Schools. Among the youngest participants in Radnor's history to reach the summit of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak, were Teddy and Henry, who, along with several friends from the Prep school, triumphantly made it to the top this weekend.

While a primary goal of the trip is to raise funds for local charities, it also offers a fun adventure that remains memorable. Mr. Paton and the entire Radnor community extend their gratitude to the organising committee, which includes Mr. and Mrs. Healey and Sarah Wilcher, Chair of the Friends Committee, for their dedication and hard work.

The next instalment of the Big Climb moves to Wales, as we prepare for an exciting summit of Snowdown.
