Outstanding GSCE Results for Radnor House

Following the, arguably long overdue, government announcement on Monday, we knew that the results achieved by the Year 11 pupils in the GCSEs would be deserved following the extensive work by the staff, having pieced together the Centre Assessed Grades from all of the work completed by the pupils over the past 2-3 years.

And that hard work, from pupils and teachers, has certainly paid off with the achievement of the best grades in the school’s history, with 50% of all results graded 9-7/A*-A, 76% of results graded 9-6/A*-B, and 100% graded 9-4/A*-C. Particular mention must go to Chantelle for her achievement of five 9s and four 8s, Eloise (four 9s and six 8s), Clara (four 9s and two 8s), Bea (two 9s and three 8s) and Isabella (one 9, seven 8s and an A*).

As with the A-Levels, in which the students achieved 41% A*-A (recently upgraded following the government announcement), 63% A*-B, 100% A*-E, and 100% A*-C in the EPQ, including 46% A*-A, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of all of our pupils over the past two years and, in particular, over the past few months as they have had to deal with the emotional challenge of not sitting their exams and the seemingly constant uncertainty about the results themselves.

We would like to congratulate each and every one, and I wish them well as they move into the Sixth Form.
