With Winter having well and truly arrived, the Radnor boys and girls headed to Sevenoaks last Friday to take on the mighty ‘Knole Run’.

The runners needed plenty of courage and perseverance to tackle the steep hills and dodge the feisty deer. A huge well done to everyone who took part!

This week was dominated by swimming with Radnor’s squads in action across the district. Firstly, the Prep squad travelled to the ‘Schools at Somerhill’ for a very competitive gala. There were some excellent swims all round with many swimmers taking first and second place in their races. The final score was irrelevant compared to the experience our swimmers gained, competing in a competitive gala away from their home environment built character and excellent team spirit.

The next day it was the turn of the senior squad who competed in a home fixture versus Farrington School. Again, a fantastic turn out by our ever increasing senior squad. Some superb swims by the U12s team saw them overcome the opposition, with the final results showing 57-51.

Higher up the senior squad, the competition became increasingly more difficult and our swimmers struggled at times with the speed of the opposition. The final overall score narrowly favoured Farrington by 8 points, but it was a tremendous afternoon of competitive swimming at our Radnor pool. Well done to all of our senior swimmers for pushing the opposition to a very close finale.

There was a fantastic parent turnout at both galas and Mr Rock and his team would like to thank all of our parents for their continued support at this, and our other sporting events.
