Sport

Participation in sports at Radnor House Sevenoaks is an integral part of our students’ educational experience and an essential building block of our core values.

Our sporting programme offers a wide range of opportunities for pupils to develop confident and varied skill sets in an extensive range of sports. Our aim is to develop a strong sporting culture which will lead pupils into a lifelong love of sport whilst staying physically and mentally fit and healthy throughout their lives.

At Radnor House, we firmly believe in sport for all whilst providing opportunities for the more able to achieve excellence through our elite A teams, pre-season programmes, and sport scholarship programme.

The school implements a gender equal approach to sport which provides all boys and girls with the same opportunities in our focus sports of hockey, football, cricket and swimming.

To support our gender equal approach and lead our focus sports, the school has appointed Miss Jessica Fullalove as Director of Swimming, Mr Craig Morton as Director of Hockey, Mr Osman Kamil as Director of Football and Mrs Susie Wilson-Rowe as Director of Cricket. These directors lead their specific sport coaching programmes to ensure pupils receive the very best levels of coaching and opportunities to develop within those sports throughout their time at Radnor House.

In addition to our focus sports, which are delivered in games lessons, pupils participate in PE lessons and have access to our wide and diverse co-curricular programme, in which pupils can develop their skills and compete in cross country, tennis, athletics, basketball, rugby and netball to name but a few.  For further information on specific sports, please see the individual sport pages below.

Sport at Radnor House places great importance on following the school’s core values. We expect our students to demonstrate these behaviours on and off the sports field. These are the traits we wish all Radnorians to embody and will ultimately allow them not only to achieve in sport but also in life beyond school:

Courage - For pupils to challenge themselves against tough opposition and being prepared to fail or make mistakes in order to develop and learn.

Perseverance – For pupils to never give up and always give their best no matter how hard the challenge they face.

Respect – For pupils to always respect their teammates, opponents, coaches and officials.

Excellence – For pupils to perform at their best when representing the school teams. For the more able this may be reaching the A teams, gaining representative honours or being part of the sports scholarship programme.

Sport at Radnor House benefits from huge investment in its sports facilities and staffing. Our sports facilities currently include:
