Sport Scholarships
The school’s focus sports are hockey, football, cricket and swimming, however performance levels in all sports will be considered for the sport scholarship. The school offers sports programmes with fixtures in the following additional sports: rugby, netball, basketball, athletics, cross country and tennis.
The three-tier system supports pupils to develop as sportspersons and athletes throughout their time at school. Below is a general summary of scholarship awards. Please note that candidates for Silver and Gold Awards will be assessed based on their main sport(s) but will be expected to represent and perform well for the school in other sports.

Strength and Conditioning |

Scholarships will be reassessed annually, and their continuance is subject to the successful candidate exhibiting satisfactory commitment and attitude towards their own progress.

The application process is as follows:
1) Pupils who wish to apply should complete the Sport Scholarship Application Form.
2) Prior to their scholarship interview, candidates will be asked to attend the Sport Scholarship Assessment Day where they will participate in a series of sports assessments based around their chosen sport. The assessments will also include tests of speed, cardiovascular endurance, agility and power. There will also be assessments on the candidates “coachability”. Further details of specific requirements will be sent once we have received the scholarship application.
3) Finally, all potential Sport scholars will have an informal interview during the assessment day with the Director of Sport to talk through their application form.
