Hockey is offered as a co-curricular club to boys and girls in the Senior School.
From September 2020 Hockey will be one of Radnor House’s focus sports from ages 8-18 for both boys and girls. This ties in with creation of our outstanding new hockey facility which is due for completion in August 2020. The hockey programme will be led by the newly appointed Director of Hockey, Craig Morton in September 2020. Craig is an outstanding hockey coach and has also played internationally and continues to play in the national premier league. He will be ably supported by the sports department which includes Mr Tom Butt and Miss Anna Frizoni who are both experienced national league level hockey players and coaches.
Hockey fixtures and training will be played predominantly by girls in the autumn term and by boys in the spring term. However, the school will also run a pre-season programme for all of its focus team games in the preceding term which enables pupils to develop their skills and knowledge of the game in preparation for the season ahead. This also allows for less experienced or novice players a chance to learn the basics and reach a level of confidence to be able to play in fixtures come the start of the season.
