Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
At Radnor House Sevenoaks, we aim to create an environment in which pupils, parents and staff are committed to a culture that embraces equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and feel a keen sense of belonging in our community. Our desire is that our school achieves recognition as a leader in creating an inclusive culture characterised by our core value of respect.
It is essential that EDI is evident in all overarching areas of school life, including admissions, staff recruitment, behaviour, community engagement, curriculum & teaching, co-curriculum, diversity monitoring, governance, and safeguarding. This holistic approach ensures all stakeholders have every opportunity to fulfil their potential and achieve their aspirations.
Our active international community is enriched by families from different backgrounds and our commitment to the shared ambitions of the Round Square network of schools. We celebrate the experiences of people of diverse origins through the curriculum, assemblies, and House activities. But we know we can do more and learn more to allow us all to achieve our ambitious goals. To help us achieve this, we have partnered with Inclusion Labs, whose mission is to embed EDI into every young person’s educational, cultural, and personal development.
Working with Inclusion Labs, we are developing an EDI strategy, with the goal of understanding our unique strengths, and identifying areas of school life where we can encourage greater diversity, equality, and inclusivity through training and educational programmes. The views of pupils are a key aspect of our planning, with additional input from everyone in the Radnor House community. Our EDI initiative carries the full support of the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
Community involvement is encouraged, so please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions relating to this area: enquiries@radnor-sevenoaks.org
