Radnor House Sevenoaks is unique. As one of the South East's premier co-educational day schools from Nursery through to Sixth Form, we are simultaneously proud of our heritage and excited about our future.
As the world becomes more complex, diverse and fast paced our mission is to future proof your child to give them the very best start in life. Academic qualifications are an important aspect of this but so too are interpersonal skills such as emotional intelligence and leadership. Underpinning our approach to education is a set of core values - excellence, respect, courage and perseverance - which form the bedrock of the school and provide a moral compass for your child from school through to adulthood.
Technology plays a key role in the curriculum at Radnor and we are pleased to be working closely with Microsoft to become one of their flagship schools. We are rolling out laptops to all children, starting with Years 7&8 in September, and will be establishing a new Computer Science and Design Centre in the Main School Building. Creative Arts are very important at Radnor House and we are pleased to be investing heavily into new Surface Studios as well as design specific software and most importantly teacher knowledge. Building adults who can thrive in the world of tomorrow is a key driver for me and the rest of the team at Radnor House and we expect these practical skills to be highly useful for our school leavers over time.
A key focus this year has been on Sports provision and we will be building a new full-sized hockey astro for September 2020, plus several newly levelled grass pitches and new cricket wicket opposite the Main School Building.
Equally, we have been investing heavily in new academic facilities. Over the last 18 months we opened a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Centre with three new Science labs and also built a new theatre within the Performing Arts Centre.
I am immensely proud to be leading the school at this time and thrilled with our ISI Inspection report which graded the school as “excellent” overall with an “excellent” rating in Teaching & Learning and Pupil Achievement. The following pages will give you a glimpse into life at Radnor House Sevenoaks but to truly experience its unique atmosphere I would strongly encourage you to call our Registrar, Wendy Owens, and schedule a tour and personal appointment with me. I hope that Radnor House Sevenoaks is the right school for your child and look forward to meeting you.
