Radnor House Sevenoaks is unique. As one of the South East's premier co-educational day schools from Nursery through to Sixth Form, we are simultaneously proud of our heritage and excited about our future.
In an ever-changing world, young people must be able to adapt to new challenges with creative and critical thinking. Therefore, schools must be adaptable to the demands of an uncertain world and the needs of its pupils. At Radnor House, we strive to ensure that our pupils leave us not only well qualified, but well educated so they enter the world beyond school both happy and confident in their ability to achieve success. Our personalised approach to a holistic education combines a broad and balanced range of learning experiences with a firm understanding of the needs of each pupil to create ideal conditions for personal growth. Fundamental to all interactions in our community is a set of core values – excellence, respect, courage and perseverance – which guide pupils, teachers and parents to aspire to the highest possible standards in all aspects of their lives.
As a school, we embrace innovative approaches to education, especially through the application of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Whether in school or remotely, pupils and teachers are equipped to excel in their roles through a range of applications using their Microsoft Surface devices. Aesthetic and adventurous talents are also nurtured through a comprehensive arts programme, including digital creativity, and many opportunities for all pupils to engage with Forest School and outdoor education.
Sports provide essential opportunities for recreation and competition. Our gender equal approach to sport allows all pupils to develop their sporting skills, especially in our focus sports of swimming, football, hockey and cricket. Whether novices or elite athletes, all pupils at Radnor House engage with outstanding training and competitive fixtures to promote a life-long enjoyment of sports. We are delighted to inaugurate our new artificial hockey pitch and grass football pitches in September 2020, as well as welcome international sportspersons to the staff to lead the hockey and cricket programmes.
As we look to the future, further development of premises in the Prep School, Arts and the Sixth Form will guarantee that outstanding resources continue to be available for our pupils as they progress from Nursery into Upper Prep and on to the Senior School. Beyond the physical resources, the continuity of education through our school means that pupils grow up among peers and adults with a genuine commitment to their welfare and personal, social and emotional development. We know the children well and understand how best to support them to achieve their aspirations. Validation of our success comes from the most recent ISI Inspection report which graded the school as “excellent” overall with an “excellent” rating in Teaching & Learning and Pupil Achievement.
