    Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking to employ such an individual to join us as a full-time Curriculum Lead for Music at our Prep School. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach Music across the Prep and Senior age range.

  • Director of Swimming

    Contract: Term time, Permanent

    Hours: Monday to Friday

    An exciting position has become available to develop and lead swimming for pupils of all ages at our rapidly growing and forward-thinking school from 1st September 2023.   

    The school has a gender-equal approach to sport, which focuses on both participation and performance in hockey, football, cricket and swimming for pupils. The Director of Swimming will work closely with the Director of Sport, Head of Prep PE and the Directors of Hockey, Cricket and Football in developing the school’s sports programmes with a special focus on leading the swimming from ages 2-18. The Director of Swimming will have a clear vision and ability to implement this in order to raise the performance and profile of swimming at Radnor House. 

    The swimming programme is led by the Director of Swimming with support from members of the sports department and swimming coaches/teachers. Swimming is delivered in our excellent 25 metre swimming pool with its overhanging viewing gallery.  

    The school places huge importance on swimming. All pupils from nursery to Year 8 have one lesson per week to ensure our pupils are confident in the water and able to swim effectively using all strokes. The school also caters for the more able, committed and elite swimmers through its swim squad programmes. 

    The successful candidate will be expected to support games lessons on busy fixture afternoons in hockey, football and or cricket. No specific expertise is required, but a willingness to get involved is important. An ability to support another sports programme such as strength and conditioning, athletics or tennis would be desirable but not essential.

  • Peripatetic Woodwind & Piano Specialist Teacher

    Peripatetic Woodwind & Piano Specialist Teacher  

    Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone  

    Required for May 2023 or sooner if possible    

    We are currently seeking a specialist woodwind and piano teacher capable of delivering high-quality individual lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone and piano to pupils across the age-range and abilities at Radnor House. 

    The successful applicant will join a committed team of full and part time musicians dedicated to supporting our young musicians from the ages of 6-18 and will be qualified to teach from beginner to advanced level on all three woodwind instruments with beginner level Piano.  

    The role also allows for opportunities to run ensembles and other music activities throughout the school for an enthusiastic practitioner. 

    The successful applicant would work on a self-employed basis earning £20 per half hour for private lessons and £25 per half hour for group lessons.  We are flexible with the teaching day but it would be a full day of work and teaching would be required term time only.

    The school wishes to appoint a Nursery Assistant/After School Supervisor to join our thriving Pre School to assist in the provision of a high standard of care for children in a way that meets their physical, social, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs. In addition, you will have responsibility for creating a safe and happy environment for after school care, supervising play and providing a range of age appropriate activities, games and crafts in which children may participate.

    We are looking for a caring, fun-loving, team player who enjoys working with young people. You will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, adaptable, discreet and tolerant. You should have good organisation and communication skills and be willing to undergo necessary training e.g. First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Fire Safety.

    Candidates must have:

    We are seeking to appoint an Office Administrator to work within our IT team at Radnor House Sevenoaks. The contract will be fixed-term, Maternity cover, running for a period of 12 months. 

    The ideal candidate will be highly organised and preferably will have worked in a data entry environment.

    This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

  • Premises Assistant

    The school wishes to appoint a Premises Assistant to support the Premises Manger in the maintenance, security, and general smooth running of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.

    This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break) Monday to Friday, all year round with occasional evening work. The successful candidate will need to work flexibly, including some weekends when required.

    The work will involve maintenance duties including carrying out of minor building works and decoration, assisting with the operation and maintenance of the swimming pool and heating system, assisting with the safety and security of the school premises, setting up facilities by moving furniture and equipment, carrying out car parking duties on special occasions and undertaking any cleaning work as required.  Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building skills is essential.  Experience in a school or similar environment would be a great advantage.

    • Good communication skills
    • Adaptability due to the diverse work that comes with this role.
    • An awareness of health and safety
    • The ability to work effectively with others as a competent team member.
    • Full and relevant driving licence.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum in grade 4 in Math and English is essential

  • Spanish Language Assistant

    We are seeking to appoint a Spanish Language Assistant to join our thriving Modern Languages Faculty.

    The role provides an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching.

    The successful candidate will be a native-level Spanish speaker with a keen interest in promoting Spanish language and culture.  The Spanish Language Assistant will work with individual pupils and groups, preparing them for their oral exams and supporting them in their language studies. 

    Applicants must be educated to degree level and demonstrate a keen interest in working with young learners. Some teaching experience is desirable but not essential. Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular programme of the school is essential.
