  • Premises Assistant

    Premises Assistant

    40 hours a week (Mon to Fri) 

    Start date: ASAP 

    The school wishes to appoint a Premises Assistant to support the Premises Manger in the maintenance, security, and general smooth running of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.

    This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break) Monday to Friday, all year round with occasional evening work. The successful candidate will need to work flexibly, including some weekends when required.

    The work will involve maintenance duties including carrying out of minor building works and decoration, assisting with the operation and maintenance of the swimming pool and heating system, assisting with the safety and security of the school premises, setting up facilities by moving furniture and equipment, carrying out car parking duties on special occasions and undertaking any cleaning work as required.  Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building skills is essential.  Experience in a school or similar environment would be a great advantage.

    • A positive and hardworking attitude
    • Good communication skills
    • Adaptability due to the diverse work that comes with this role.
    • An awareness of health and safety
    • The ability to work effectively with others as a competent team member.
    • Full and relevant driving licence.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Basic Computer Skills, ideally competent with Word and Excel
    • A minimum in grade 4 in Math and English is essential

  • Exam Invigilator

    The school wishes to appoint an additional Exams Invigilator, during our peak exam times, to join our thriving School to conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Radnor House Sevenoaks instructions.

    Experience is not required, as training will be provided, although applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them.

  • Minibus Driver

    Contract: Permanent, Term time Only (shift work) 

     

    Radnor House Sevenoaks has an exciting opportunity for a Minibus Driver to join the team. 

     

    Purpose of Job

    To drive the Radnor House Sevenoaks School vehicles in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of passengers, other road users, members of the public and you at all times.

    Location

    Vehicles based at Radnor House Sevenoaks, Combe Bank Drive, Sundridge, Sevenoaks, Kent TN14 6AE. 

     

    Training and Qualifications Required

    •            Full D1 Commercial Licence (CPC desirable)

    •            Attend and pass required training courses as identified and agreed, this will include Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and CPC if not already certified at the cost of Radnor House Sevenoaks (subject to achieving certification within the probation period, and to a minimum service agreement post certification)

    •            Attend and pass relevant training and medicals required by the DVLA

    •            Paediatric First Aid training

  • Grounds Apprentice

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 17.00pm 

    Start date: ASAP 

    Radnor House Sevenoaks has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Apprentice to join the Estates Team.  The successful candidate will support the Grounds Manger in the maintenance, conservation, and enhancement of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team. As part of the role, the apprentice will undergo a level 2 apprenticeship scheme at Hadlow College lasting 24 months. This is a full-time position with one day per week at college during term-time.

    We require a candidate who can:

    • manage and develop working relations for the faculty and with other colleagues

    • work positively and constructively within their team and with other colleagues

    • think creatively and imaginatively, investigate, solve problems, and identify opportunities

    • promote our core values of excellence, respect, courage, and perseverance

      Apprenticeship:

    • As part of the apprenticeship scheme, you will need to attend college for one day each week for your         programme study.

    • The government require you to have a grade 4 in Maths and English.

  • Groundsperson

    The school wishes to appoint a Groundsperson to support the Grounds Manger in the maintenance, conservation, and enhancement of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.

    Teaching and Learning at Radnor House Sevenoaks aims to create a collaborative whole-school community of life-long learners, always motivated to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning through self-reflection, objective evaluation, and research-based practice. 

    We require a candidate who can:

    • manage and develop working relations for the faculty and with other colleagues

    • work positively and constructively within their team and with other colleagues

    • think creatively and imaginatively, investigate, solve problems, and identify opportunities

    • promote our core values of excellence, respect, courage, and perseverance

    Qualifications:

    • NVQ in Turf Management, Horitculture or similar is desirable
    • Chainsaw licence and a PA1 PA6 spraying certification is desirable
    • A minimum in grade 4 in Maths and English is essential

    Are you a teacher who passionately believes in the limitless potential of children and the critical role adults play in this journey of self-realisation?

    Due to increasing pupil numbers, Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking to employ such an individual to teach Art and Design on a one-year mat cover, full-time basis, from February 2024.  Applications from NQT’s would be welcomed.  The successful applicant would also need to have experience in teaching 2D, 3D, Photography and Textiles.

  • Nursery Assistant/After School Care Manager

    Actual salary: £13,000 to £15,0000 per annum working 25 hours per week for 36 weeks per year

    The school wishes to appoint a Nursery Assistant/After School Manager to join our thriving Pre School to assist in the provision of a high standard of care for children in a way that meets their physical, social, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs. In addition, you will have responsibility for creating a safe and happy environment for after school care, supervising play and providing a range of age appropriate activities, games and crafts in which children may participate.

    We are looking for a caring, fun-loving, team player who enjoys working with young people. You will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, adaptable, discreet and tolerant. You should have good organisation and communication skills and be willing to undergo necessary training e.g. First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Fire Safety.

    Candidates must have:

    · EYFS or equivalent full and relevant Level 3 qualification.
