Magic Week

This week we have had a magic theme to our learning in the Prep.  We have had fairy doors, lights, ladders and dwellings appear on the grounds.  In classrooms, there have been magical events and we have had a magical creature visit our assembly.  On Tuesday, we read stories around the fire pit and it was lovely to see so many children and parents involved.  In outdoor learning lessons, children have built fires and decoded runes on scrolls that have appeared when heated.  It has all created an exciting buzz around the school and inspired some wonderful writing from newspaper reports, to stories and poems.

Barvember 2019

Thank you so much to all those of you who have taken part in Barvember 2019 so far.  Barvember continues next week and a huge well done to all parents and children who have posted their answers to Twitter.  As a new challenge for all parents and children, I would like you to video your responses, explaining your reasoning and explaining how you solved your problems.  Parents and children do not need to be in the videos themselves, but can voice over what they have done if you prefer.

Any parent or child who successfully does this from next week will earn one of our Barvember chocolate prizes!  Everyone else will still earn a Barvember sticker and entered into our prize draw at the end of each week.  Remember to tag @rh7prepmaths @WhiteRoseMaths and use the hashtag #barvember on any entries otherwise I won't be able to see them and you may miss out on your prize.
