Charities Assembly - Wednesday 6 November
On Wednesday 6 November, we will have our annual whole school Charities Assembly, at which time we will present our donations to our House, National and International charities. We would ask that all pupils attend school on this day wearing their house tops. The rest of their attire should be school uniform.
Remembrance Service - Monday 11 November
We will be holding our annual Remembrance Service at the turning circle in front of the school at 10:45am on Monday 11 November. Parents are welcome to attend.
Anti-Bullying Week is Monday 11 November - Friday 15 November. This year's theme is 'Change Starts With Us' For your information our school's Anti-Bullying policy can be found here. The Anti-Bullying Alliance have put together an information tool to help parents here.
Free Trial of Safeguarding app
SafeToNet are working as official supporters of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Odd Socks Day this year. From Monday 11 November they are providing their safeguarding online app free for 60 days.

Odd Socks Day - Tuesday 12 November
All students and staff to wear odd socks for the day.
Pumpkin Carving Competition
Please bring your carved pumpkins into school on the morning of the 8 November and place them on any of the grass areas at the top of the driveway outside the Senior School. All candles must be bio-degradable and if you do not have any of these, Friends will be selling them on the morning for 20p each. Mr Halliwell will be judging for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes and the winner will be announced after the fireworks display.
Intensive Touch Typing courses for Half Term and Christmas Holiday

Sponsored Read for Good! Monday 11 November - Friday 18 November
Pupils will be asking family and friends to sponsor them for reading during the week at home and at school. Sponsorship cards will be handed out after half term and money collected the week after (or online). Read for Good provides a regular supply of brand new books along with storyteller visits to brighten up the days of children in all of the UK’s main children’s hospitals. Please help us by making sure that your child has something to read.
Save the Date Saturday 25 January 2020 - Burns Night Event
David Paton will be hosting a Burns Night on the above date. Further information will follow in the next school Bulletin. We very much hope that you will be able to join us for this traditional and fun evening of dancing, food and of course whiskey!
Our new Autumn Menu will be launched after Half Term. Please look out for this in the Bulletin of our first week back.

Year 13 News
Next half-term sees the start of our formal assessments in November. Please can you remind your son/daughter to revise for these over half-term. The Year 13 assessments will contain questions that cover all of the first and second year material, so they should revise both in preparation. Thank you for all your help and support over the last half-term.

School Charities - We are pleased to announce that an amazing £20,216 was raised for our school charities during the school year 2018/19. A huge 'Thank You' to everyone who has helped to achieve this!
