Clubs during the last week of term

Please be advised that due to the many events taking place during the last week of term, co-curricular clubs will not be taking place.  Wrap Care will still run Monday to Thursday, but there will be no Wrap Care available on the last day of term (Friday 5 July).

Senior School Production - 20 and 21 November 2019

We are pleased to announce our upcoming musical production of 'Little Shop of Horrors'. All pupils in the Senior School will have the opportunity to audition next week. Any pupils interested should see Mr Packer on Monday 10 June for audition materials.

Those interested in supporting through working backstage, creating props, set, costumes, lighting or sound, should also see Mr Packer next week.

Oracy Day and Festival - Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June

We will be holding our second annual Oracy Day on Tuesday 18 June. All pupils in the Senior School will take part in various activities throughout the day devoted to oracy.

On the evening of Wednesday 19 June, selected pupils, most of whom will be chosen based in their performance during the Oracy Day, will show off their oracy skills at our Oracy Festival in front of parents and pupils. Refreshments will be served from 6pm with the Festival starting at 6:30pm. It is likely to finish by 8pm.

Sixth Form Induction - Year 11

I hope that the GCSE exams are proceeding nicely for your daughter/son so far. This is to remind you that we are running our Sixth Form Induction Days on Tuesday 2 July and Wednesday 3 July. Furthermore, we are also asking the 'new Year 12s' back to be part of our Sports Day on Monday 1 July.

I will be sending out further details very shortly as I am currently finalising one or two aspects, but we will be running a visit to Cambridge and a Cambridge University college on the Tuesday, with a day of preparation lessons on the Wednesday prior to the Prize Giving that evening.

'10 to Sixth' Day - Year 10

Please read the letter  attached about the upcoming '10 to Sixth' Day. Could you, with your daughter/son, consider the subjects available and make a choice for each lesson during the school day on Wednesday 12 June. Could these then be returned to their Form Tutor by Wednesday 5 June.

Work Experience Request - Week Beginning 24 June

Churchill House Charity Run Sponsorship

Parents of pupils in Churchill House please be aware that on Thursday 13 June from 1-2pm pupils from Churchill will be completing their Charity Run 'Churchill UltraRun' for our House Charity "Bradbourne Riding for the Disabled Association".  Pupils will have returned from school on Wednesday with sponsorship forms and envelopes to collect their sponsorship money.  Money must be returned to school by Friday 14 June in the sealed envelopes provided.  Please do support them in collecting sponsorship money for our fantastic charity.  If you are not familiar with them, please follow this  link for a short video about the charity's work.  Thank you in advance for your generous contributions.

Performing Arts Timetables

The Performing Arts Timetables are available here.  Please check regularly as times and occasionally days are subject to change.  Timetables are also displayed on the notice boards in the Performing Arts Centre and outside the Prep School Music classroom.  The peripatetic staff do their best to look for clashes with trips, fixtures and talks, but if any of your child's lessons are scheduled for the same time as events of this nature, please inform the relevant peripatetic teacher so that lessons can be rearranged in good time.

Year 7 Summer Concert

A reminder that the Year 7 Summer Concert will take place on Tuesday 18 June at 6.30pm in the Performing Arts Theatre.  All parents are welcome; no tickets are required.  All of the pupils will be taking part.

New Music Administrator Role

We would like to make you aware of Gemma Fishwick, our new Music Administrator.  Gemma will be responsible for all day-to-day administration of peripatetic lessons (including Speech and Drama) on Tuesday-Friday on a part-time basis.  Parents are very welcome to contact Gemma  - music@radnor-sevenoaks.org with any queries, along with enquiries about pupils wanting to start lessons next term.  You may still contact Dr Isom, if needs be, hisom@radnor-sevenoaks.org with any other questions.

Park Farm Open Event - Sunday 9 June 

Families are very welcome to visit a working farm this weekend and learn more about where our milk and food comes from.  Park Farm is located in Brasted, and will be open from 11am to 4pm this Sunday (9/6).  Full details can be found here.

Don't forget - Get Sorted!

Mrs Hancock runs an early morning organisation session  in ICT A from 8.00 until 8.20 a.m.  These will run each Thursday morning.  This is an opportunity for students to get help with sorting their books, gluing in work, organising online files and anything else they need support with.  I’m looking forward to seeing the students bright and early!  Mrs Hancock

Make a Difference Day

Please be advised that our "Make a Difference Day 2019" will take place on Wednesday 2 October.  This is a whole school event which takes place over the school day.  Please check future Bulletins for further details.

Summer Touch Typing Courses

If you struggle to get along to the two school TTRS Typing sessions then you may want to learn during the summer holidays. Short, intensive courses are available to learn this most useful life skill.
