Clubs during the last week of term

Please be advised that due to the many events taking place during the last week of term, co-curricular clubs will not be taking place.  Wrap Care will still run Monday to Thursday, but there will be no Wrap Care available on the last day of term (Friday 5 July).

Work Experience Request - Week Beginning 24 June

We are currently trying to find work experience placements for two students who are interested in the media/advertising/marketing area.  If you are able to help please contact Patricia Read (Head of Careers) pread@radnor-sevenoaks.org

Visit from the Book Bus Thursday 13 June

A quick reminder that on Thursday 13 June the Book Bus will be visiting Radnor House.  This is part of our continuing push to promote literacy and reading as well as providing an opportunity to stock up on books before the Summer holidays!  Classes will have a chance to board the bus in groups and discover a new read and buy a book (or books) there and then, prices begin from around £3.00.  After school parents and carers can have a look round and purchase any books they would like as well! 

Year 5 and 6 Production - Dragon Days - Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June

The end of the Summer Term is approaching and so is the Year 5 and 6 production - 'Dragon Days'.  There will be two performances taking place in the Senior School hall as follows:

Wednesday 19 June - 2pm

Please arrive at the Senior School Reception no earlier than 2pm for a 2.15pm start.  Light refreshments will be available upon your arrival at 2pm in the Senior School Hall.  Due to Senior pupils' lunchtime and therefore the need to adhere to safeguarding requirements, unfortunately, we cannot accept your arrival before 2pm.  We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Thursday 20 June - 6pm

Please, collect your child/ren at 3.45pm and return them to RH7 at 5.15pm to enable them to get dressed and ready for the evening performance. Once you have dropped your child/ren off, we would request that you proceed to the Senior School, where (weather permitting) drinks and canapes will be served on the lawn before doors open at 5.45pm so that you may be seated for the show which will commence at 6pm.

Year 5 and 6 Sports Awards - 11 June 2019

We are very much looking forward to this annual event and hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate our sporting successes.  Please follow this link to reserve your seats.  These are limited to 3 per family (including your child).

Year 1 and 2 String Babies Presentations

A reminder that the Year 2 String Babies presentation will take place on Thursday 13 June at 2.30pm.

The Year 1 String Babies presentation will take place on Thursday 20 June at 2.30pm.

Both presentations will take place in the Senior School Hall.  All parents are welcome; no tickets are required.  All of the pupils will be taking part.  There will be an opportunity for all to speak with Mrs Jones afterwards.

Performing Arts Timetables

The Performing Arts Timetables are available  here.  Please check regularly as times and occasionally days are subject to change.  Timetables are also displayed on the notice boards in the Performing Arts Centre and outside the Prep School Music classroom.  The peripatetic staff do their best to look for clashes with trips, fixtures and talks, but if any of your child's lessons are scheduled for the same time as events of this nature, please inform the relevant peripatetic teacher so that lessons can be rearranged in good time.

New Music Administrator Role

We would like to make you aware of Gemma Fishwick, our new Music Administrator.  Gemma will be responsible for all day-to-day administration of peripatetic lessons (including Speech and Drama) on Tuesday-Friday on a part-time basis.  Parents are very welcome to contact Gemma  - music@radnor-sevenoaks.org with any queries, along with enquiries about pupils wanting to start lessons next term.  You may still contact Dr Isom, if needs be, hisom@radnor-sevenoaks.org with any other questions.

Don't forget - Get Sorted!

Mrs Hancock runs an early morning organisation session in ICT A from 8.00 until 8.20 a.m.  These will run each Thursday morning.  This is an opportunity for students to get help with sorting their books, gluing in work, organising online files and anything else they need support with.  I’m looking forward to seeing the students bright and early!  Mrs Hancock

Park Farm Open Event - Sunday 9 June 

Families are very welcome to visit a working farm this weekend and learn more about where our milk and food comes from.  Park Farm is located in Brasted, and will be open from 11am to 4pm this Sunday (9/6).  Full details can be found here.

Radnor House Charity Triathlon - Saturday 14 September 2019

We invite you to join our inaugural Radnor House Sevenoaks Charity Triathlon this September.  This event is open to both parents and pupils.  The Steel race has been specifically designed with our younger pupils in mind; with distances starting at 10m swim, 200m cycle and 100m run.  All children aged four and over are encouraged to take part and plenty of staff will be available to support your child on the day.  Please see the attached letter for more information, and to register your place.

RadnorFest - Saturday 29 June 11am to 5pm

Come along to our  Summer Festival at  Radnor House Sevenoaks.  Don't miss the family event of the summer, with BBQ, live music and (hopefully) sunshine. Email friends@radnor-sevenoaks.org for more information.  Please click here to book tickets.

RadnorFest - Raffle Tickets

Over the next few days, your child/ren will return from school with raffle tickets for you to purchase.  These are in books of 5 and are £1 per ticket or £5 per book.  Please, could we request that you return the raffle tickets with your payment in the envelope provided (ensuring you keep the bigger part of the ticket) to the box which is outside the Prep School Office and marked 'RADNOR FEST RAFFLE TICKETS'.  Please could we further request that if you do not wish to purchase all (or indeed any) of the raffle tickets that you return these in the envelope to the box also.  The deadline for returning the tickets is Wednesday 27 June.  Many thanks for your support.

Make a Difference Day

Please be advised that our "Make a Difference Day 2019" will take place on Wednesday 2 October.  This is a whole school event which takes place over the school day.  Please check future Bulletins for further details.

Summer Touch Typing Courses

If you struggle to get along to the two school TTRS Typing sessions then you may want to learn during the summer holidays. Short, intensive courses are available to learn this most useful life skill.
