Year 9 Trip to Wisley

Mr Scott, Subject Leader for Geography and Sociology writes:

On 6 March Year 9 went on a trip to Wisley Gardens as part of a combined Geography, Art and PSHEE trip. During the trip the students were able to develop their artistic ability, mindfulness strategies and understanding of how ecosystems adapt to their climate.

Each student took part in three different activities, one where they saw ways to develop their inner reflective skills, one where they saw how to develop their use of nature as a medium in Art and one where they saw how plants had adapted to their ecosystems using all sorts of strategies such as drip tips and eating insects.

The students showed great engagement and behaved admirably throughout the day, receiving praise from the public on how well they were working and their attitude around the Gardens.
