Sporting Superstars: Week 23

Welcome to a bumper edition of Sporting Superstars, bringing you all the highlights from our fixtures either side of the half-term break.

Cricket

This is the first season of competitive Cricket for the Radnor girls and they’ve already begun making their mark.

  • The U11B and U9B teams were both victorious against The Mead, whilst the U8B team looked strong as they beat Hilden Grange by 27 runs.
  • The U12 Girls meanwhile looked very impressive as they beat Bethany by a convincing 30 runs!
  • A final special mention must go to the U14 Boys who showed plenty of grit and determination as they took on an experienced team from Sevenoaks School.  It was a great performance from the Radnor boys and they ended up losing by just 9 runs. Congratulations to all the boys, especially MVP Zeph who scored a fantastic 58!

Athletics

Last week our young sports stars were in action at the ISA Prep Athletics tournament. This meet is one of the highlights of the summer school sporting calendar and our Prep pupils had worked hard to prepare. This effort more than paid off with some tremendous performances and results. Congratulations to everyone who took part and a big pat on the back for all our medallists:

  • Gold (600m): Jack
  • Gold (60m): William
  • Gold (High Jump): William
  • Gold (U9 4 x 100m relay): Year 4 boys
  • Silver (60m): Jack
  • Silver (High Jump): George
  • Bronze (600m): Ryan
  • Bronze (U10 4 x 100m relay): Year 5 boys

Rounders

The U15 Rounders team travelled to Bethany yesterday. There was some great teamwork on display and the girls looked strong, emerging with a decisive 16.5 vs 7.5 victory. Well done girls.

A great end to a fantastic fortnight of sport!
