Religious Studies Trip
Mrs Southgate, Head of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, writes:
On Wednesday 22nd November the A level Religious Studies students attended a conference at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church in London. The speakers were all world-renowned philosophers and experts in their field. The lectures covered a variety of topics: sexual ethics, Liberation Theology, Freewill and Determinism, Utilitarianism versus Kantianism, and “Does it matter that Christ was male?”. Our Sixth formers always find these lectures very thought-provoking and we were honoured that Professor Keith Ward, who has lectured at eight different universities including both Oxford and Cambridge, was happy to have a photo taken with us.
