Music and Dance Evening

Mrs Barradell, Director of Performing Arts writes:

Tuesday evening saw forty three students from across the Prep and the Senior School performing in front of a full audience of eighty people in our Drama Studio. From Year 13 to Year 2 pianists, Year 10 Theatre in Education extracts, Year 4 previews of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - the selection to watch was huge and the courage students showed to come on stage one after the other, with slick transitions and pride, was wonderful to witness. The reason we have these evenings is to showcase to parents and our wider community the learning that is happening in the Performing Arts faculty within academic lessons, examination performances that are being prepared, peripatetic learning and co-curricular content that is coming together. To go from an audience of forty to eighty from one event to the next is very pleasing to see and I am pleased everyone enjoyed the evening. We look forward to seeing you all again in June for our final MADE event of this academic year. My huge thanks to the students, teachers and Peripatetic staff who worked tirelessly to prepare the material for the evening.
