Year 10 and 11 spent time in the company of author Matt Killeen recently. Matt talked about how the events of World War II inspired his writing of two Young Adult novels, 'Orphan, Monster, Spy' and 'Devil, Darling, Spy'. Every student also participated in a writing workshop where they looked at beginnings of stories, created their own and wrote their opening lines. There were some brilliantly creative ideas and thoughtful writing which will build students' confidence.
