“Radnor has brought our family and so many others together”
Radnor House Sevenoaks has been part of the O’Connor family’s story long before their children joined as pupils.
They were married at the school when it was still known as Combe Bank, making their connection deeply personal from the very beginning.
“After such an amazing experience on our wedding day, I always hoped that one day our children would come to school here.”
That hope became a reality when the school became co-educational, with their son joining first, followed soon after by their daughter.
The family experienced the transition to Radnor House firsthand:
“We were fortunate to be part of that journey, with our son in Year 2 at the time.”
Now in Year 8, their daughter continues to enjoy school life:
“She is very happy and genuinely enjoys going to school - as much as a soon-to-be teenager can!”
For the O’Connors, the strongest theme is community:
“The friendships we’ve made as a family are our biggest highlight. The school has brought people into our lives who will be friends for years to come.”
Their time at the school has been filled with memorable moments:
“From Carol concerts and sports days to charity events, quiz nights and mountain climbs - there are so many special memories.”
As a student at the school; “From my first day in Reception, I’ve always felt welcome. There’s always something fun going on, from sports to house events.”
She reflects on her personal growth:
“With the support of my teachers and friends, I’ve achieved things I didn’t think I could.”
One standout moment was taking part in mountain climbs:
“Climbing Snowdon and Scafell Pike was a real challenge, but with my friends’ support I managed to do it.”
