Our Curriculum
As students progress from Reception to Year 1 and 2, they encounter a curriculum that is rich, engaging, and varied. We prioritise creating a secure learning environment where children are encouraged to explore and learn from their mistakes. Our values-driven approach and compassionate staff foster a love of learning and empathy.
Research indicates that smaller class sizes and specialist teaching lead to higher educational standards. Therefore, from Pre-School onwards, all Radnor students receive specialised instruction in French, Music, PE, Swimming, and Forest School.

Our topic-based approach integrates English and Maths instruction daily, with academic skills developed through thoughtfully planned schemes of work that extend the National Curriculum. We emphasise a balanced approach, minimising testing while maximising learning opportunities. Children benefit from ample outdoor play and learning time, with access to dedicated Pre-Prep play areas, Forest School, and outdoor sports facilities, in addition to our spacious sports hall. As an integral part of the Radnor experience, Pre-Prep students also enjoy access to the Performing Arts Theatre, swimming pool, sports hall, astroturf, and dining room. |
The School Day
The school week runs from Monday to Friday with six periods each day. Children may arrive from 8:00am, with registration at 8:20am. The school day ends at 3:30pm for Pre-Prep children. Wrap care is available from 7:30am to 6:30pm at an additional cost.
