Beth Ingram-Cordrey 1975 - 2020

In loving memory

Ms Beth Ingram-Cordrey led the Prep School at Radnor House Sevenoaks from 2018 to 2020 and was instrumental in a significant uplift in academic standards and a corresponding growth in the pupil roll. She sadly passed away quietly and with dignity on Friday 31 January 2020 surrounded by her family and friends after a long battle with cancer.

Beth thoroughly loved Radnor House and would often tell people privately that this was her ideal job.  She was incredibly well suited to school leadership with a warm, loving and passionate personality who managed to touch all those she came into contact with.

Upon joining the school in 2016 Beth's talents were spotted early on and she was quickly promoted to Deputy Head before accepting the role of Head of Prep in September 2018.  In her short time leading the Prep School, she was highly productive, constructing a new recording and tracking system to monitor progress, bringing in new schemes for English and Mathematics and also commencing work on a full review of the curriculum.

Beth also loved to have fun and she was well known for her outrageous costumes on dress-up days, her very questionable singing at staff events and her self-effacing nature which meant she was always very approachable to the whole school community.

The staff, children and parents of Radnor House Sevenoaks will miss her dearly.

Beth was cared for by Hospice in the Weald shortly before her death and also St David's Hospice in Newport, Wales. The school's national charity this year is Macmillan Cancer Care as voted for by the school children in September.

Details of her memorial service will be distributed at a later date.

All cards and letters for the family can be sent to c/o Louise Lay, Radnor House Sevenoaks, Combe Bank Drive, Sundridge, TN14 6AE who will be happy to forward them on.

A Memorial Service for Beth will be held at Radnor House Sevenoaks on Saturday 14 March 2020 at 2 pm in the Senior School Hall and refreshments will be served in the Dining Room following the service.  We very much hope that you and your children will be able to join us.
