The Purpose of the Role

As we continue to strengthen our Sixth Form provision, we are seeking a highly skilled teacher to take on the role of Head of Business.
The Purpose of the Role
This is a key leadership position for an exceptional practitioner of Economics and/or Business. The successful candidate will:
- Teach Economics and/or Business across the school.
- Ensure excellent progress for all students in their allocated classes
- Contribute fully to the academic, pastoral, and co-curricular life of the school
This role would suit a knowledgeable and committed practitioner with the ambition to make a significant difference to the students in their care.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Teach Economics and/or Business to A Level to an excellent standard.
- Monitor student progress, taking action to secure excellent outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work and assessment frameworks.
Co curricular
- Contribute to the departmental provision of a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including clinics, academic competitions, trips and clubs.
Pastoral
- Undertake the responsibilities of a tutor and contribute fully to the school’s pastoral systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- A degree in Economics, Business, or a related subject (required).
- Experience of successfully teaching Economics and/or Business to A Level.
- QTS is highly desirable.
