The Purpose of the Role
Radnor House Sevenoaks is an independent co educational day school for pupils aged 11–18, set within a beautiful 20 acre campus on the edge of Sevenoaks. We are an ambitious and forward thinking school with a strong academic ethos, excellent pastoral care and a broad co curricular programme.
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Sports Operations and Cover Teacher to support the work of the Sports Department and the wider School.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Support the safe and efficient running of PE, Games, clubs and sports fixtures, including equipment and facility set up
- Assist with the organisation and supervision of sports activities under the direction of teaching staff
- Provide short term, non specialist lesson cover across the School when required
- Supervise pupils during cover lessons, delivering work set by teaching staff and supporting positive behaviour
- Take an active role in the wider life of the School in accordance with the Staff Handbook
This is a support staff role and does not include responsibility for curriculum planning, assessment, reporting or examination classes.
The Idea Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has experience supporting sports activities in a school, club or community setting
- Is confident supervising pupils in both classroom and activity environments
- Is organised, adaptable and practical in their approach
- Is committed to safeguarding, safety and professional standards
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to undertake minibus driver training
