The Purpose of the Role
Radnor House is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Language Assistant to join our vibrant Modern Foreign Languages department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fluent Spanish speaker with a passion for education to support and inspire pupils across all key stages.
Working closely with the subject leader and teaching staff, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality oral language support and help enhance pupils' speaking and listening skills in Spanish. You will provide tailored support to small groups and individuals, helping to prepare them for exams and deepen their confidence in conversational Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective oral language support sessions for KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form pupils
- Provide 1:1 support for bilingual students and those requiring additional practice
- Assist with the development and organisation of teaching resources
- Support the department with extra-curricular and after-school sessions where needed
- Maintain a strong standard of discipline in line with school policies
- Engage with ongoing training and school development initiatives
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school
Skills and Qualifications:
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker
- A strong understanding of the Spanish language curriculum at secondary level
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and collaboratively
