The Purpose of the Role
Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking a passionate and talented peripatetic guitar teacher to join our thriving music department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled musician and educator to inspire pupils across a range of ages and abilities in a dynamic and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one guitar lessons to pupils from KS2 to Sixth Form.
- Prepare students for performances, exams and competitions.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and the Head of Music regarding progress and scheduling.
- Contribute to the musical life of the school, including concerts and events where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Able to teach Graded guitar exams across all major boards with theory knowledge up to Grade 8 standard.
- Proven experience teaching guitar to children and young people.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to tailor lessons to individual needs and learning styles.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Self-employed status with appropriate insurance and safeguarding training.
