The Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Swimming to lead swimming provision from EYFS through to Senior. This is a key role within our Sports Department, ensuring high quality teaching, strong safety standards, and an engaging, progressive swimming curriculum.


The role includes leading the programme, delivering lessons, coordinating and supporting swimming coaches, overseeing assessment and progression, and contributing to galas and co curricular opportunities. We currently anticipate the working pattern being structured across Mondays and Tuesdays (full days) and Wednesday (half day), though the final model will be confirmed based on programme needs..

 

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Has a strong background in teaching swimming across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Can lead a high quality, safe and inclusive swimming programme.
  • Brings excellent communication, organisation and team leading skills.
  • Demonstrates strong safeguarding understanding and practice.
