School Library Books

Many thanks to all of you who have returned school library books - it is much appreciated.  Please could everyone have one more look to ensure that there aren't books hidden amongst your shelves or under beds!  School library books will usually have a school stamp inside, an extra barcode sticker on the back or inside and labels on the spine.  All books should be returned to form rooms.

Thank you. Mrs Lambert

Year 11 News

Sixth Form Open Evening

At this exciting point in your son/daughter's school career it is an important time to consider their future A level options. Through their Careers programme, the Network Evening, and their COA/FutureLearn profile they should have hopefully begun to consider their next steps and with this in mind we will be hosting our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 13 October 2020 from 6pm. For obvious reasons this will have to be a virtual event, but we will hope to run an opportunity for you and our Year 11 students something similar to the 'real thing'.  On the evening you will able to access pre-recorded presentations about the Sixth Form at Radnor House Sevenoaks, and our recent successes, Life as a Sixth Form student and more detailed information about each A level subject we offer.  All of this will then be reinforced by a Sixth Form Taster Day for the Year 11 students, following their pre-Mock Exams.  Students will also be given a Sixth Form subject booklet with full details of each subject included.

I look forward to you accessing these presentations, and if you have any questions during this process please email me at dleddington@radnor-sevenoaks.org.

THE SERIOUS STUFF

Annual General Meeting - Monday 5 October @ 8pm

Our AGM will be held remotely next Monday evening via Zoom. 2020/21 RH7 Charities - New Parent & Staff Choice Charity

We are excited to announce that a new Parent & Staff Choice Charity is to be introduced this year, and we will be asking you very soon for your submissions.  This is a fantastic opportunity to get the entire school community behind a charity that means a lot to you and your family.  Over £4,000 was raised for each of our school charities last year, and so it's a great way to say a very big 'thank you' to a charity that is dear to you, whilst raising awareness of it's good work .

For our House Charities it is also time for a change.  During this term each of the houses will be choosing a new charity to support via their FUNdraising.  Whilst it is sad to move on we have strong relationships with all of our past partner charities, and these will continue via volunteering initiatives such as MaDD, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and community service.  For our International Charity we will continue to develop our partnership with Project Le Monde.
