Digital Safety Update - TikTok
TikTok is a popular app. The official age rating for the app is 13+, however we are aware that Radnor Pupils much younger than 13 are using it. Although the app can be fun, there are online safety considerations that you should be aware of, including the option to set parental controls. Please click here to read more about TikTok.
If you have any general questions about online safety please contact the school Designated Safeguarding Lead: Esther Wright, ewright@radnor-sevenoaks.org

Internal Exams
As you know, the internal exams commence on Wednesday 22 April. Please click here for the exam timetable.
In these extraordinary circumstances you will understand that we will be running these exams rather differently from normal. A variety of platforms will be used depending on the subject being examined and pupils will receive instructions from their class teacher in advance, as to how to access the exams on the appropriate day.
Whilst these exams will not be able to replicate the final exam experience for your children, they are nevertheless both important and very useful in ensuring that the pupils engage in a full preparation for exams in the normal way, that they revise thoroughly and learn the work covered in the course. At the very least they will gain an understanding of what they know, and what they do not yet know, and of the efficacy of their revision methods.
All the teaching staff would be most grateful for your continued support during this period. There will inevitably be some "hiccoughs" , but the overriding principle must be to provide the best experience that we can, and for the pupils to learn as much as they can about themselves and their work habits and approach.
We would be very grateful if you could ensure, as far as possible, a quiet working space for these exams, without access to other materials, so that the sanctity of the exams can be preserved as much as possible. There will be time limits, as you would expect, in terms of submitting the completed papers and your help, in ensuring that these are adhered to, would be much appreciated.
For those pupils with SEN Exam Arrangements, please click here for a support document from Mrs Hancock.
May I thank you in advance for your support with this.

Thank you to those parents who responded to the email that I sent out before the Easter Break regarding work experience placements. The plan at the moment is to continue to plan for this programme that will commence at the end of June. There are still a number of outstanding forms could I ask that you return these as soon as possible, click here for a copy of the form. If you do not require a placement arranged through the school, could you please confirm this with me if you have not done so pread@radnor-sevenoaks.org Thank you, Ms Read.

Parents' Association - FoRH7
Quiz Night
Following the cancellation of the Quiz Night this year, we are delighted to tell you that a vast majority of the ticket monies were left in the pot as a donation from yourselves. We would like to thank all parents who contributed for their generosity and we are thrilled to announce that the NON-Quiz Night raised a total of £1250.50 which is not far away from the total funds raised on a normal quiz night!
1920s Summer Ball
With all of the current ‘unknowns’, we have had to postpone the 1920s Summer Ball. There is no good date to move it to this year so we have decided to move it one whole calendar year and it will now take place on Saturday 26 June 2021. Tickets which have already been purchased will be carried over to that date.
Fund Raising during COVID-19
We do have some plans to continue some money-raising over the coming months to try and bolster the charities through this difficult period and we will communicate these in the coming weeks.
Easyfundraising
Finally, we would also like to share Easyfundraising with you. Did you know you could help Friends of Radnor House raise much-needed funds for free just by shopping via Easyfundraising? Over 4,000 online retailers including: Just Eat, Now TV, uSwitch, DominosPizza and Audible, to name but a few, are ready to give a free donation every time you shop online.
Please click here to sign up. Every little helps...
