    Health Declaration Form

Please complete the health declaration form here for the week beginning Monday 8 March.

    Wrap Care and Breakfast Club

We can offer early morning and after school wrap around care to our key worker parents and those parents who are required to return to their place of work and are unable to do so without it. This does not apply to those families who continue to work from home.

We are unable to accommodate ad-hoc attendance to our wraparound provision and therefore you will be booked in and charged for 5 mornings, 5 afternoons or both per week as follows:

7.30 am - 8.20 am (£5) – Breakfast Club - This will include a light breakfast.  Please drop your child at the Prep Arch at 7.30am

4.00 pm - 5.30 pm (£10) - This will include a light tea. Please collect your child from the wrap care room based in the prep school.

If you would like to book for Breakfast Club or Wrap Care, please email Louise Lay –

Sport in the Senior School from Monday 8 March – Message from Mr Butt

I hope you are as excited as the Sports Department are to get back into school and to be able to start playing sports again. Please see below an outline of the sporting programmes for the remainder of the Spring Term. Please can ensure your child brings in the correct equipment for each day.

    Games lessons

Pupils will be following a three-week block on the Spring Terms focus sport. Pupils had pre-season for football and hockey in the Autumn Term.

    • Year 7/8 – Wednesday and Friday afternoons:
    • Girls – fotball
    • Bys – Hockey

Year 7 and 8 PE and Swimming lessons

There will be no swimming until the Summer Term with all pupils taking part in a range of active fun games to integrate them back into school and get active after this lockdown period. Most of these sessions will be outside so please ensure pupils have appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

    Co-Curricular Sport

    • Pre-season cricket (starts Monday 8 March). With last summer (cricket season) and this term being remote (cricket pre-season), we are going to focus on cricket pre-season sessions for the remaining three weeks of term. These sessions are important to get the basics in place ahead of next term where we hope but cannot guarantee that we can return to playing fixtures. Sessions will take place as below:
    • Monday – 16:00-17:15 – Year 7
    • Tuesday – 16:00-17:15 – Year 8
    • Wednesday – 16:00-17:15 – Year 9
    • Wednesday – 16:00-17:15 – year 10/11/12/13. Mix f cricket, rounders, ultimate frisbee etc.

    Swim Squad

The pool is currently undergoing extensive maintenance and we are hopeful that Swim Squad training will resume from the 15 March following the same structure as last term.

    • Week A
    • Thursday – 16:00-17:15 – year 7
    • Friday – 16:00 – 17:15 – year 8
    • Week B
    • Thursday – 16:00 – 17:15 - year 10
    • Friday -16:00-17:15 – year 9

Mr Green will be releasing the sign up via SOCS for these clubs on Thursday 4 March.

All pupils should attend school in their sports clothes if they have sport during the day (no changing apart from for swimming lessons/swim squad).  Below I outline the equipment required for each sport for this term:

    • Hockey – Astroturf trainers or trainers, shin pads, gum shield and a hockey stick. The school does have hockey sticks pupils can borrow which will be cleaned after each use but for skill development and with COVID in mind, it would be beneficial for pupils to have their own stick if possible.
    • Football – football boots and shin pads
    • Cricket – no equipment is required, but please do bring in your own cricket equipment if you have them, especially if you already play hardball cricket. This will be better for skill development and reduce cleaning of equipment. Cricket sessions will take place on the Astroturf and in the sports hall this term.

If you need to get some new hockey or cricket equipment, please see below the two buying guides which include discount codes.

If you have any queries whatsoever please contact Mr Butt –

Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities- Spring/ Summer Return

With the return to school for all pupils from Monday 8 March, there is the immediate return of after school sports activities as well as certain aspects of the music co-curricular.  You will have seen more detailed information about this from Director of Sport, Mr Butt and Head of Music, Dr. Isom. The music and the after school sports will be added to SOCS Co-Curricular, and pupils/ parents will be able to sign up for these activities from 6pm on Thursday 4 March.

Other lunchtime and after-school co-curricular will be reintroduced in due course, with communications made to parents about any further expansion.
