House Assembly

On Friday, the Prep pupils took part in their first online House assembly.  We looked at ways we can support our house charities and some fun activities we can take part in including an Age-A-Thon, a House Singing and Dancing event along with sending cards to our charities to spread the love.  Please see the attached PowerPoint Presentation for all the information you need on ways you can have fun at home, express yourself, and support our Radnor Community.

Prep Express Yourself House Dance and Singing Event

As part of mental health week, we would like to encourage pupils to send in videos of themselves singing and dancing.  These can be self-created and rehearsed routines or just the family having fun together.  Videos need to be sent to by Friday 29th January.  Each pupil that enters will receive 4 dojos for their house and videos will be shared during mental health week (1-7th February)

Safety Advice for Apps

The Carly Ryan Foundation has created fact sheets with information on how to keep safe online when using a variety of Apps including Roblox, Among Us, YouTube and Minecraft.  We recommend having a read if your child uses any of these apps, please click here.  If you have any concerns or need support making sure your device is safe please contact our IT team, Head of PSHEE or your class teacher/tutor.

Awards in Celebration Assembly

Congratulations to the prep children whose achievements we celebrated in our Celebration assembly on Monday.  Please click here for the full list of awards given.

If your child has achieved something exciting outside of school in a club or activity that they participate in, please invite them to share it with the Prep School during our weekly Celebration Assembly on Mondays by sending any information to Dr Margrett at the following address

NHS Appeal for Pembury and Tonbridge Cottage Hospitals

We are thrilled to advise that our school community has raised a PHENOMENAL £2618.00 for the NHS appeal.  More information about how the money will be used (at the request of NHS staff) and other updates on how our community is supporting this appeal will be released in the Bulletin next week.

A special thanks must go to Nicole Beesley who is a parent in Year 6 and volunteer for the Hygiene Bank.  On Friday she sent a message to advise that she had received a donation of 136 kilograms of lip balm, hand cream, wipes and body cream from Boots and has generously arranged for these to be donated to the NHS staff.

Many thanks to you all.  We are enormously proud to support the NHS and for the generosity of our community!

The Silliest Quiz of 2021 will be live and on your screens at 6pm on Saturday 6th February.

There will be a prize for the silliest looking family or Zoomee, and of course more house points to be won for the winning house.

It's free to participate, and it will be lovely to see as many families as possible on the night.

Audiobook - FoRH needs you …

Do you have any stories or fascinating facts about Combe Bank, the gorgeous property that our senior school is housed in? Do you know its history, or the history of the people who owned it and lived in it? Maybe it’s a tale linked to someone who worked there or who visited. Perhaps your information is about the building itself or the grounds, including the lake and the stable block where the prep is now located. No matter how minute a detail, we want to know about it.

Friends are in the very early stages of creating an audiobook that will be filled with these stories and more, and to do it right, we need as much information as possible. This is going to be a wonderful project that we hope you’ll love, but we can’t do it without you, so, no matter what the story might be, please send it to Please also ask your friends and family if they have any stories to share; the magic of Combe Bank spreads far and wide, and we know there are many tales to tell.

Virtual Balloon Race - Request for sponsors

Friends are organising a virtual balloon race as a fundraiser later this term, where pupils and families of the school and our partner charities can buy and personalise a virtual balloon and enter it into a race which will be tracked over the duration of a week, and use real weather data. It should be both great fun and educational! We would love to have our own Radnor House race but need sponsors to make this happen. Please contact us at if you are interested in being a sponsor which needn’t be expensive and would be a terrific boost to us as we help our school charities. Thank you!
