Christmas Carol Service Thursday 12 December

We will be holding our annual Christmas Carol Service at 5 pm on Thursday 12 December at St Nicholas Church in Sevenoaks.  All pupils involved in the service will be transported to the service during the day to practise. The Pupils involved in the Service are:

Prep Children (Years 3-6), Senior School Choir, Year 7 Choir and Readers.

These pupils will need to be smartly dressed in full school uniform including blazers and school jumpers may be brought if required.  Pupils will need to bring a drink, snack and a book to read.  Please remember that all snacks should be nut-free.  We would very much welcome parents from all year groups to attend the service, but if you are unable to attend, please could you collect your child from St Nicholas Church at 6.15 pm

Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities - Spring 2020

With the Autumn Term coming to a close, I hope you will join me in thanking the Radnor House Staff, both internal and external, for providing such a breadth and depth of clubs this term.

Please find attached the list of Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities for the Spring Term.  This information is correct at the current time, although may be subject to minor change over the coming days.  Monday 9 December sees the SOCS sign up open at 6pm and it will close again at 6pm on Sunday 15 December.  During the sign up window, pupils can be added or removed from clubs or activities, which will include Expeditions, Wrap Care and the Sevenoaks Shuttlebus.  After the sign up window has closed, pupils may still be added to clubs, but cannot be removed (unless requested).

Please can I ask that parents do not sign their child up to any clubs without their agreed consent- it is vital that they select clubs that they wish to attend.

It is very important that parents and pupils try their SOCS login before the sign up window to ensure that it is working and there are no login issues.

SOCS Sign-Up

Please follow this link.  The login page asks for the name of the school.  Make sure you click on Radnor House Sevenoaks (not Twickenham).  Your username is your son/daughters school email address: eg.  Your generic password will be sent out separately.

Once you have logged in, I would advise that you alter your password, via 'Settings' and write it down.   It is also important to note that if a club is listed as FULL for the term, you should email to request to be placed on the waiting list.  Your child will be given a place for the following term.   It is also worth noting that if a club is very under-subscribed, it may not run.  In the event of this occurring, the pupils and parents will be informed.

Pupils who are currently participating in a paid club will be automatically enrolled for the Spring Term, however, if they no longer wish to participate in the club, they can be removed during the sign up window.  Any pupils who are currently on a waiting list for a club that they missed out on in the Autumn Term will be automatically placed in the club for the Spring Term, however, if they have had a change of heart, they should remove themselves from the club during the sign-up window.

Lastly, a reminder that there are no clubs or activities for the final week of this term. Wrap Care will continue right throughout the week with the exception of Friday 13 December after school.  Clubs will start again in the Spring Term on Tuesday 7th January which is the first day of term.

If you have any queries about the Co-Curricular clubs, please email Mr T. Green, Assistant Head Co-Curricular at

Burns Night Gala Dinner - Saturday 25 January 2020 - 7pm until Midnight

We still  have some spaces left for this event which is being hosted by David and Jo Paton at RH7.  The Piper and Celidih Band are booked and it is sure to be a fun night of excellent food, dancing and of course a few drams!  Please see attached a copy of the fabulous menu for the evening. To purchase individual tickets or to book tables of 8 or 10, please click here.

Book Bus - Tuesday 10 December

We have decided on a £15 limit if children wish to bring in money. That said, there is no pressure or expectation to buy anything!

Congratulations to our Published Poets - Young Writers

A huge congratulations to everyone who entered the Young Writers Poetry Competition.  The editors selected a fantastic number of poems written by children at Radnor House to be published, and we have sent the letters home. The deadline for giving permission for poems to be published is Friday 20 December.

Huge thanks to those pupils and parents who supported our Readathon for Read for Good.  We raised £405.02 which will buy books for children in hospitals.  Thank you for supporting such a brilliant cause and for reading so brilliantly!

Message from Year 12

We, the students of year 12, have established POP!d, a recycled bottle cap company, as a part of Tycoon Enterprise 2019 - an establishment that allows young entrepreneurs to fund their own companies in competition with others of their age group.

At POP!d, we work hard to up-cycle bottle caps from beer and fizzy drinks bottles to transform them into adorable Christmas decorations (ideal for last-minute stocking fillers or tree-toppers!), reusing ribbon and wrapping paper contributed by local businesses and staff.  We are proud to say that 100% of our materials are recycled.

Examples of our products can be seen in the Senior School Cafe and can be made available for collection from the Senior or Prep Receptions.  Proceeding confirmation of your order, please allow 3-4 working days for us to make your product, as each decoration is completely handmade and our resources and time are limited.  Our supply of each bottle cap is limited, so if you wish to order a personalised wreath, contact us soon to ensure your choice of cap is in stock!  Prices are - Wreaths £5, Snowmen £3 and Penguins £2.50
