Remembrance Service – Wednesday 11 November 2020
On Wednesday we will be holding a socially distanced Remembrance Service outside for first the Pre and then the Senior School. Sadly, we will not be able to invite parents to attend.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to sell Poppies at school this year and we would ask that if possible you purchase a poppy for your child/ren before Wednesday’s service. These are available to purchase at most supermarkets and online.
As the service is to be held outside, please ensure that your child/ren attend school wearing a suitable warm and waterproof coat or jacket.
Absence from Sport
If your child is not able to participate in sport whilst in school please email sport@radnor-sevenoaks.org with details.
Reading for Pleasure and Podcasts
As we know, audio books are a great way to share books as a whole family and to encourage reading for pleasure, but did you know that podcasts are similarly effective? New research from The National Literacy Trust, please click here, found that more children and young people listened to podcasts during lockdown than ever before and this led to greater reading engagement, particularly for boys and secondary aged pupils. Click here for recommendations and tips on how to share Podcasts and encourage reading with your family.
Clothes Collection
Some of our year 12's are putting together a clothes collection for Uganda. It would be much appreciated for any old clothes and/or shoes to be donated for those in need. There will be a box under the bus stop in the main car park from 8-8:20am and 4-4:20pm on both Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. We also ask for the clothes and shoes to be donated in plastic bags, labelled with the name and year of the child. Any further donations for the shipping cost would also be welcomed!
Thank you!
