    Charities Assembly - Wednesday 6 November

    On Wednesday 6 November, we will have our annual whole school Charities Assembly, at which time we will present our donations to our House, National and International charities. We would ask that all pupils attend school on this day wearing their house tops. The rest of their attire should be school uniform.

    Remembrance Service - Monday 11 November

    We will be holding our annual Remembrance Service at the turning circle in front of the school at 10:45am on Monday 11 November. Parents are welcome to attend.

    Nasal Flu Vaccination

    Anti-Bullying Week

    Anti-Bullying Week is Monday 11 November - Friday 15 November. This year's theme is 'Change Starts With Us'  For your information our school's Anti-Bullying policy can be found here.  The Anti-Bullying Alliance have put together an information tool to help parents here.

    Free Trial of Safeguarding app

    SafeToNet are working as official supporters of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Odd Socks Day this year.  From Monday 11 November they are providing their safeguarding online app free for 60 days.

    Odd Socks Day - Tuesday 12 November

    All students and staff are to wear odd socks for the day.

    Barvember 2019

    A whole month of Mathematical challenges which encourage children to use the visual representation of bar modelling to show how to answer problems in a variety of different contexts. The first challenges will be issued on the first day back after half term.  There will also be some 'Parent Challenges' sent home for adults to try, look at using the bar model method here to show your answers.  Anyone who completes a challenge will earn Dojo points, but those children who do so using a bar model will also earn a huge 'Barvember Champion' sticker that will be placed into their planners! 

    Pumpkin Carving Competition  

    Please bring your carved pumpkins into school on the morning of the 8 November and place them on any of the grass areas at the top of the driveway outside the Senior School.  All candles must be bio-degradable and if you do not have any of these, Friends will be selling them on the morning for 20p each.  Mr Halliwell will be judging for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes and the winner will be announced after the fireworks display. 

    Sponsored Read for Good!  Monday 11 November - Friday 18 November

    Pupils will be asking family and friends to sponsor them for reading during the week at home and at school.  Sponsorship cards will be handed out after half term and money collected the week after (or online).  Read for Good provides a regular supply of brand new books along with storyteller visits to brighten up the days of children in all of the UK’s main children’s hospitals.  Please help us by making sure that your child has something to read.

    Reading by Firelight - Tuesday 5 November after school, on the lawn outside the senior library

    All parents and children are warmly invited to READING BY FIRELIGHT (children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)  EYFS and Lower Prep 3.30–4.15pm; Upper Prep 4–4.45pm

    Hot chocolate and marshmallows provided!  Let us know you are coming here.

    Save the Date - Saturday 25 January 2020 - Burns Night Event

    David Paton will be hosting a Burns Night on the above date.  Further information will follow in the next school Bulletin.  We very much hope that you will be able to join us for this traditional and fun evening of dancing, food and of course whiskey!

    Valence Harvest Festival Celebration

    Huge thanks to Year 6 and their supportive parents for making it possible for the children to sing at the Harvest Festival at Valence.  They performed beautifully at such short notice and behaved impeccably and were great ambassadors for the school.  Valence and the pupils were truly appreciative – particularly of the conkers song!

    Parent Volunteers are needed for Fireworks night – If you are able to help on the night, please click here to sign up.

    Quiz Night Spring 2020 - We are looking for volunteers to organise and run our annual Quiz Night.  If you would be willing to assist please email Liz Baker at friends@radnor-sevenoaks.org. 

    School Charities - We are pleased to announce that an amazing £20,216 was raised for our school charities during the school year 2018/19.  A huge 'Thank You' to everyone who has helped to achieve this!
