Year 7 - Science Fair - Thursday 14 March 3.30-5.00pm
Science week is an annual national event to celebrate the wonder of Science. As part of our RH7 Science week, we will be hosting a Science Fair on Thursday 14 March from 3.30pm-5.00pm in the Senior School Hall. All Year 7 students will be presenting a project they have investigated during Science lessons, and parents are invited to attend.
Science Week – Monday 11 March-Friday 15 March
To celebrate British Science week, there will be a variety of activities taking place around school. In addition to the scheduled activities, there will also be a whole school infection activity to map the spread of disease through a community. The timetable of events is attached.
Performing Arts Timetables
The Performing Arts Timetables are available here. Please check regularly as times and occasionally days are subject to change. Timetables are also displayed on the notice boards in the Performing Arts Centre and outside the Prep School Music classroom. The peripatetic staff do their best to look for clashes with trips, fixtures and talks, but if any of your child's lessons are scheduled for the same time as events of this nature, please inform the relevant peripatetic teacher so that lessons can be rearranged in good time.
SOCS Co-curricular and Sports information drop in afternoon 28 March 2019 - 4pm until 5.30pm - Action Required
On Thursday 28 March, we are holding a drop in afternoon in the Senior School Hall starting at 4pm and finishing at 5.30pm for you to meet with Mr Green and go through any queries you have in relation to using our SOCS sign up for Co-Curricular Clubs or for keeping trace of all Sports Fixtures.
T20 Lecture - Monday 4 March
Following last week's lecture, Mr Penlington will deliver a tutorial on Film Marketing at 1:30pm in ICTA on Monday. This is a great opportunity for pupils interested in the film industry or in business in general. The focus will be on a marketing case study looking at the success and failure of 'Donnie Darko'.
It is open to all pupils from Year 7 to 13, regardless if they attended the lecture.
Year 11 Revision Seminar

Year 9 and 10 Revision Seminar - Tuesday 12 March (This is also open to Years 11-13)
On Tuesday 12 March at 4:30pm, we will be running another Revision Seminar for pupils and parents. While the focus is on helping the Year 9 and 10 pupils to prepare for their exams in April, all pupils from Year 9 to 13 are welcome to attend.

West Kent Dyslexia Coffee Morning
Do join KDWA for coffee & biscuits and meet those interested in Dyslexia, please see the flyer attached for more information. We will also be joined by Susie Pepper from Touch Type Read & Spell who will talk about the huge benefits of touch typing. The KWDA resource box will also be available – full of resources to support those with dyslexia at school and home.
Red Nose Day Friday 15 March
On Friday 15 March, for a suggested donation of £2, we hope that you will support Comic Relief and our international charity Project Le Monde (Uganda) by wearing your red nose, along with either an ‘official’ Red Nose Day T-shirt, a Red Nose Day themed t-shirt (which you can design yourself) or simply just a T shirt with red on it to school. All other uniform items to remain the same, please give your donations to your form teacher. £1 of which will be given to Comic Relief and £1 to Project Le Monde. A limited supply of noses will be available to purchase at school for 50p.
Bags of Love – Message from FoRH7
Project Le Monde in Uganda is our international charity. For more information about the charity please see the attached poster. We are going to be selling 'Bags of love' to send to pupils in our sister schools. Please find attached a letter regarding the 'Bags of love' initiative. To see a list of the items needed to fill the bags please see the list attached. Please support our children in Uganda.

Y11-Y13 House Netball Tuesday 12 March - House Netball during Games.
Please can all students ensure that they are wearing their House t-shirts/colours and have their full PE kit including trainers.
Y7-8 Boys House Basketball
On Friday 15 March, during games afternoon, the Y7-8 Boys House Basketball will be played in the Sports Hall. All boys will be participating so please can everyone ensure that they arrive wearing full PE kit, including House t-shirts and trainers.
Senior Sports Photos - Thursday 14 March
Please find attached here the schedule for the Senior and Sixth Form Sports Photos which will take place on Thursday 14 March in the Sports Hall. Please can all sports players ensure that they bring the correct Radnor Sports kit into school for all the sports for which they are a squad member.
The photographs are for Autumn and Spring sports. A separate appointment shall be made for the Summer Sports Photographs.
This is a reminder that all Sports Fixtures for the term are detailed on SOCS Sports. You should have your login in details and password.
