Radnor Fest

It looks like the sun is due to shine for us on Saturday for Radnor Fest and we very much hope that you will be able to join us.  Tickets for entry are still available to purchase online but you will be able to pay for entry on the day.

There will be limited Water Zorb slots available on the day but many of the slots have already been sold online and these pre booked slots will take priority on the day.

If you still have raffle tickets that you would like to purchase, please hand these over at the gate on Saturday where they will be greatly received.  Further tickets will be available to buy on the day and we have some fantastic prizes (1st Prize £250, 2nd Prize £100 and 3rd Prize £50).

We very much want you to enjoy the sunshine, the music and the food available so do please bring a chair or a picnic blanket so that you are able to fully relax.

Charity Dress-Up - Friday 5 July

As was mentioned in the recent text, Newton House has announced that the theme for dressing up on Friday 5 July will be "Come dressed as what you want to be when you grow up - or your dream job"  Thanks for your support with this.

Co-Curricular Clubs & Activities, Expeditions & Wrap Care

Please find attached our exciting list of Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities for the Autumn Term 2019, together with an explanation of each attached.  You will note that each club has been placed in a category on the list of activities.  Please take note of your favoured clubs' categories as this is how they will appear on SOCS Co-Curricular, rather than being categorised by the 'time of day.'  This should help those looking up their clubs, but you will need to familiarise yourself with the new categories first.

SOCS Co-curricular will open on Tuesday 2 July at 6pm for pupils and parents to sign up to Clubs, Activities, Expeditions, Wrap Care and the Late Shuttle Bus.  Please note, this is a slight change from what was advertised in last week's bulletin. The sign-up window will close once again at 6pm on Sunday 7th July.

For any paid clubs, there will be no auto-enrolment from one academic year to the next, so it is vital that you sign up for your club for the new academic year.  In order to login to SOCS Co-Curricular, please follow this link

The login page asks you for the name of the school.  Make sure you click on Radnor House Sevenoaks (not Twickenham). 

Your username is your child's school email address: eg.

Your generic password is set as: rhsclubs

Once you have logged in, I would advise that you alter your password, via 'Settings' and write it down to remember it.  It is also important to note that if a club is listed as FULL for the term, you should email to request to be placed on the waiting list.  Your child will be given a place for the following term.  It is also worth noting that if a club is very under-subscribed, it may not run. In the event of this occurring, the pupils and parents will be informed.

With the influx of new staff for the Autumn, there may be additional clubs created in September.  Please also understand that, although unlikely, certain lunchtime clubs may change time or day if there is an alteration to a staff member's timetable.  The timing of an afterschool club will very rarely change.

Performing Arts Timetables

The Performing Arts Timetables are available here.  Please check regularly as times and occasionally days are subject to change.  Timetables are also displayed on the notice boards in the Performing Arts Centre and outside the Prep School Music classroom.  The peripatetic staff do their best to look for clashes with trips, fixtures and talks, but if any of your child's lessons are scheduled for the same time as events of this nature, please inform the relevant peripatetic teacher so that lessons can be rearranged in good time.

Lost Property 

On Thursday 4 July by the parent car park (weather permitting) we will be laying out all of the lost property we can find and leaving all items on tables for you to peruse at pick up (3.30pm for Prep and 4pm for Senior).  All unnamed items not collected on Thursday will be sent to the Second Hand Clothes Shop.

Learning Support - Date for the Diary

There will be a Learning Support Department coffee morning on Wednesday 18 September at 8.40am.  This will be a good opportunity to meet the old and new members of the team.  Mrs Zena Sargent is joining us as a Dyslexia Specialist Tutor in the Autumn.  Have a good summer. 

Supporting your Child over the Summer 

West Kent Dyslexia Association are hosting a workshop 'Supporting your child over the summer', on Wednesday 10 July at 7.15pm in the Lowry Room, Tonbridge School.  This will be preceded by a very short AGM.  Full details to follow by the end of term. 

School Entrance Driveway

Unfortunately, there still seems to be some confusion regarding the driveway coming into school towards the car park.  Please be advised that this is a two way road, it would be appreciated if parents/carers could stay on the left hand side to enable the minibuses and other traffic to exit.  New lines are being installed over the summer break which should hopefully make it clearer.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Radnor House Charity Triathlon - Saturday 14 September 2019

We invite you to join our inaugural Radnor House Sevenoaks Charity Triathlon this September.  This event is open to both parents and pupils and is non-competitive – the idea is that everyone has a fantastic day and finishes the course so please don’t be put off by the idea of a ‘race’.  There are five race categories to suit all ages and abilities.  All participants from the age of 4 are welcome to join.  The Steel race has been specifically designed with our younger pupils in mind; with distances starting at 10m swim, 200m cycle and 100m run.  Plenty of staff will be available to support your children on the day and younger participants can use stabilisers and flotation aids.  Please see the attached letter for more information, and to register your place follow this link.  Paper registration forms are also available from the Prep Office.

"Make a Difference Day"

Our annual "Make a Difference Day" will take place this year on Wednesday 2 October.  Further information will be provided in next week's Bulletin.

FoRH7 ‘Back to School’ Charity Dinner

On Friday 4 October, FoRH7 will be hosting a ‘Back to School’ Charity Dinner at Westerham Golf Club. This will be a great chance to get together with friends after the long summer break and an opportunity for new parents to meet one another. The cost per person will be £50 which will include a welcome drink, three-course meal and entertainment. We have 20 tables on offer and each seats 10 people. Ticket sales will open on Friday 5 July and can be bought individually or as a table of 10. Please see next week’s bulletin for the link to book tickets.
