Make a Difference Day 2019 (MaDD) - Wednesday 2 October

We confirm that early morning and after school wrap care will run on this day if you need to use them.  However, please ensure that your child/ren are pre-booked.  The school buses will run in the morning and in the afternoon as normal and the late shuttle bus to Sevenoaks Station at 5.30pm will also run.

Hopefully you have received letters about the sites that have been allocated to your son/daughter. Apologies for any delay but this was unavoidable following the loss of the internet from Thursday afternoon.
On Monday afternoon the Prep School will be holding short presentations about each site. Pupils will go to the presentation about their site to give them final information ready for Wednesday.
Many thanks again for all your help and support for this Make A Difference Day - I hope all pupils get a lot out of this day as well as making a difference to others.

Harvest Assembly and Harvest donations - Thursday 3 October

On Thursday 3 October, we are holding our Harvest Assembly at 3:00pm for pupils in the Performing Arts Theatre.  The School will be making harvest donations to a local charity,  ‘the Caterham Foodbank,’ supported by The Trussell Trust, who work to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.  The foodbank in Caterham (charity number 1155330) is a small food bank that supports families in need of emergency food.

We welcome any donations of non-perishable food to be brought in throughout next week.  This could be, but is not limited to: breakfast cereals, soup, rice, pasta sauce,  tinned meat, tinned fish, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, UHT milk, tea or coffee, sugar, biscuits or snacks.  The Caterham Foodbank has specifically asked for donations of sponge puddings, tinned fruit and bags for life.

Please hand this to your child's Teacher and not to the Prep Office.  Further information can be found on each organisation by clicking on one of the charity names here: Trussell Trust and Caterham Food Bank

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Performing Arts Timetables

The Performing Arts Timetables are available here.  Please check regularly as times and occasionally days are subject to change.  Timetables are also displayed on the notice boards in the Performing Arts Centre and outside the Prep School Music classroom.  The peripatetic staff do their best to look for clashes with trips, fixtures and talks, but if any of your child's lessons are scheduled for the same time as events of this nature, please inform the relevant peripatetic teacher so that lessons can be rearranged in good time.

Please check the timetables and if you do not see your child's name please let us know at

Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities

Our tremendous array of clubs and activities is well underway this term, with students enjoying the full range, whether it is sport, music, drama or cookery!

Please may I remind students that if they have signed up to a club, attendance is compulsory. If a student is unable to attend a club session, it is essential that the club leader is informed in person or through a parental email so that it does not go down as an unauthorised absence. Staff go to great lengths to provide a wonderful co-curricular programme and must be sure of their attendees every week.

Make A Difference Day - Clubs and Activities

Please note that on Make a Difference Day next Wednesday 2nd October, all clubs and activities are cancelled with the exception of Taekwondo Action Acorns, Tap Dance, Modern Dance and ACE Gymnastics. The leaders of these paid clubs will contact you directly to find out whether you will be in attendance on MAD Day. Please respond as soon as possible so that they can plan accordingly.
