There has been a great deal of focus placed on making every day a cause for celebration in the Prep school this term with every week starting with a mention of a selection of national and international celebratory days, such as national wear a hat day (see photo below), squirrel appreciation day and many more. 

Throughout the whole school, safer Internet day was an incredibly important day to focus on along with Children's Mental Health week and we saw pupils of all ages really engaging with all assemblies and extra events for both. 

Across the whole school, the IT proficiency and their use of the Microsoft suite along with many other online learning platforms in our pupils has been astonishing to see. In the Senior School, collaborative tools and breakout rooms have been used incredibly, an example of which is in maths lessons to break down challenging concepts. In the Prep School pupils have been having loads of fun with their coding activities!

The last week of half term was an exciting one- in school, our Pre School pupils were lucky enough to have multiple days of fun in the snow, sledging down the slopes in our grounds and making snowmen. Remote PE lessons, among other subjects, saw student's getting a break from screens and out into the snow.

 On the last day of term our pupil's had their celebration assemblies in which their amazing hard work was celebrated and rewarded. In the Senior School assembly, there were beautiful pieces of music performed by student's in an inter house competition- from moving piano pieces to flute performances. 

Classes in the Prep school celebrated the Chinese New Year with 'Jade' carving, willow pattern plate painting, fan making and learning to cook Chinese cuisine. 

This term has seen our school community raise a phenomenal £2618.00 for the NHS appeal to supply local hospital staff with 150 bottles energy drinks, 54 lip balms (this was separate to all Nicole Beesley’s donation from Hygiene Bank), 3360 Tea bags, 250 Bags of crisps, 110 cup-a-soup, and 600 energy/chocolate bars.
