Radnor House remembers

This week the whole of Radnor House Sevenoaks came together to celebrate and commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War.

On Thursday evening over seventy Radnor House students took part in a remembrance production. Wartime music was performed with gusto by the Year 7 Choir whilst our senior History and Science students shared medical developments that occurred as a result of the Great War.

A series of poetry and readings really brought home the significance of this Centenary year and the evening was rounded off with an impressive original composition from Grace in Year 13, followed by an audience sing-along to ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’.

On a more sombre note, the whole school gathered outside this morning for the annual Remembrance Service. Following a speech by Head, David Paton, Grace, Maisie and Jordan delivered deeply moving readings accompanied by the haunting sounds of Amy Childs’ bugle. George Curwen and Sophie Cunnningham concluded a beautiful service with the laying of the wreaths.

We will remember them.
