Sporting Superstars: Week 18

In the week that Britain was battered by Storm Gareth, it was business as usual for Radnor House as the players battled heavy wind and rain to pull off some fantastic results.

Rugby

  • The U14’s were in action this week entering the ‘Emerging Schools’ section at their first ever Sevens tournament. There was plenty of courage and perseverance in evidence and the boys acquitted themselves superbly. Congratulations to Rio and Joe who both scored outstanding tries.

Girls Football

  • Wednesday saw Radnor House field two teams in the inaugural Hawthorns Football tournament. Twelve teams battled it out in dreadful conditions but nobody could stop the Radnor 1st team who finished as champions after winning 5 out of 6 games. Another fine example of excellence in action at Radnor House!
  • Radnor House U12 girls travelled to Farrington school late on Friday afternoon to show off their silky football skills. It was a great match, although very challenging with the horrendous gale force winds. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and both teams were very happy with the result. Well done to all the players for showing such courage and perseverance.

Netball

  • The Radnor netballers were looking strong on Wednesday at they welcomed Lingfield. The U13’s dominated in a 10-3 victory with Anjel and Mia voted star players. Meanwhile the U12’s were in blistering form, walking away with an impressive 23-0 victory. Special mention to Iona and congratulations to all of the girls on a brilliant team performance.
