Sporting Superstars: Week 17

Netball

  • The Senior team kicked off the netballing week with an away fixture at Lingfield College. There was some excellent shooting from Eleanor alongside some impressive individual performances across the court. The team continued their brilliant season with a 34-16 victory, taking their tally to 5 wins out of 6! Congratulations to the team and a special thank-you to Alex for stepping in at the last moment and playing a key role.
  • On Wednesday, we welcomed Beechwood to Radnor House. The U13’s battled in a very tight match, losing 17-19 in the closing seconds. The U12’s meanwhile were on fire, carving out an impressive 23-5 win! Well done to all the girls, with special mention to star players Mia, Lieske and Grace C.
  • This week also saw the U14’s get back to winning ways as they pulled off a 12-8 victory over Sevenoaks school. It was a great team performance with Bella voted MVP.

Rugby

  • This week also saw Radnor House take part in their first ever Tag rugby tournament. The U11 mixed team enjoyed a great day of rugby, narrowly losing two games by 1 try, and ending the day with a good win against Westward Prep. The entire team played with a great attitude and showed some good rugby skills. A special mention for Freya playing her first competitive rugby game.
  • Back at home, the U9’s were psyching out the opposition with an excellent pre-match Haka! It obviously did the trick as the boys put on a fantastic team performance to secure a 13-10 win.

Swimming

  • The Prep swimmers were back in the water this week at home to The Granville School. It was a close one, but despite some good swims and excellent relay performances, the Radnor team eventually lost by 13 points. Congratulations to the Year 6 team who collected the biggest scores of the day.
