Sporting Superstars: Week 12

It was a busy one for Radnor Sport last week with mulitple fixtures in swimming, rugby and netball.

Rugby

The boys faced some tough competition taking on well established teams from The Mead and Marlborough House. Our boys are learning fast and whilst they couldn't quite find the winning touch, Mr Rock was very pleased with the grit and determination on display.

Swimming

This week it was the Senior School's turn to host Farringtons for a swim gala. It was a tremendous success with Radnor beating Farrington School 135-130. There were some exceptional swims from our team and we're extremely proud of the whole squad.

On Friday the Prep swimmers travelled to the IAPS Swimming Championships. This pitted our swimmers against the best in the county and we had some fantastic swims. Lots of personal bests were beaten and we await the final results this week.

Netball

Thursday saw our Prep netballers entertaining The Mead School. The U8's were very impressive and walked away with a solid 6-1 win. The U9's match was an extremely close affair with the match at 4/4 with 5 minutes to go. The girls battled valiantly in the closing seconds and were unlucky to find themselves on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss.

For the Senior Squad, it was all smiles (despite the wet and miserable weather!) The U14/15 team travelled to Bennett Memorial and came away with an emphatic 14-3 victory.
